Verify your Zid store in Google Search Console
Google Search Console is a free Google service that shows how your store appears in Google search, and helps you keep it visible and fix problems. With it you can:
Follow your store's performance in search results and see the keywords that bring you visitors.
Find and fix crawling and indexing problems, such as pages with errors or broken links.
Understand how visitors reach your store and what they search for, so you can improve your content.
Submit your sitemap so Google indexes new pages sooner.
Get alerts about security problems, such as hacking or malware.
Search Console has no app in Zid. It confirms that the store is yours through Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager.
Before you start, connect Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager to your store, and sign in to Search Console with the same Google account you used for it. See Connect Google Analytics and Tag Manager.
Add your store to Search Console
Sign in to Google Search Console. Under URL prefix, enter your store address and click Continue.

Search Console lists the ways to verify that the store is yours. Choose Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager, whichever you connected to your store.

Verify with Google Analytics
Open Google Analytics in the list and click Verify. Your store must have the Google Analytics code, which the Google Analytics app in Zid adds, and you need edit permission on the Analytics property.

Ownership auto verified appears. Click Go to property to open your store's Search Console dashboard.

Link Search Console to Google Analytics
Link the two to see Search Console data in your Analytics reports.
In Google Analytics, open Admin.
Under Product links, choose Search Console links, then click Link.
Choose your store's Search Console property, then the web stream of your store, and submit.
To check the link, open Settings > Associations in Search Console. Google Analytics appears under Associated services.

Verify with Google Tag Manager
Open Google Tag Manager in the list and click Verify. Your store must have the Tag Manager container, which the Google Tag Manager app in Zid adds, and you need the publish permission on the container.

Ownership auto verified appears. Click Go to property to open your store's Search Console dashboard.

To stay verified, keep the Google Analytics or Tag Manager app active in your store: removing its code removes the verification.
Submit your sitemap
Your store's sitemap lists its pages so Google can find them.
In your Zid dashboard, go to Online store > SEO, select Manage on Home page, and copy your Sitemap address with the copy icon. See Submit your sitemap to Google.

Sample data from a demo store. In Search Console, open Sitemaps in the menu.

Under Add a new sitemap, paste the address, then delete its beginning so only
sitemap.xmlstays after your store address. Click Submit.

A message confirms that the sitemap was submitted. Google reads it regularly and lets you know if it finds a problem.
