Team groups and audit log
Groups give several team members the same permissions, so you set them once instead of member by member. The audit log shows what your team changed in the dashboard. Open groups from Settings > Store > Groups, or select Groups on the team page.

To open groups, a staff member needs the permission to view or manage users. To create, edit or delete groups, they need the permission to manage users.
The groups list
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name and Permissions | The group's name, a few of its permissions, and how many more it has. |
| Users | How many team members are in the group. |
Each row has Delete and Edit. The list shows 10 groups per page. When you have no groups yet, select Create group to start.

Create a group
Select Create at the top of the groups page.
In Group information, enter the group's Name (required) and choose its members in Users.

Sample data from a demo store. In the permissions card, choose the group's permissions. It works like a team member's permissions: select Grant full permission, whole sections or single permissions, and use the POS app permissions (ZidPOS) tab for cashier permissions if you use Zid POS.
Select Save.
Every member of the group gets all its permissions, on top of their own. For example, create an accounting group with the payments and analytics permissions, and add your accountants to it.
Members who get dashboard permissions through a group count as seated users in your plan, like any member with dashboard permissions.
Edit or delete a group
To edit a group, select its name or Edit, change its name, add or remove members, or change its permissions on Edit group, then select Save.
To delete a group, select Delete in its row.
Deleting a group happens right away, without a confirmation step. Check the row before you select Delete.
If you remove a permission from one member that they got from a group, saving that member removes them from their groups. See Edit a team member.
Audit log
The audit log lists the actions your team took in the dashboard, such as changes to orders, products or settings.
Go to Settings > Store > Team.
Open the more menu at the top and select Audit Log.
Only actions from the last 30 days are shown.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Actions | What was done. |
| Section | The part of the dashboard where it happened. |
| Changed by | The team member who did it, or the app it came from, shown as "via" the app's name. |
| Time | The date and time of the action. |

To narrow the list, search it, or open the filters and choose a date range, a Team member or a Section, then apply them.

The audit log depends on your plan: it is part of the Professional and Enterprise plans, and on other plans Audit Log opens an upgrade dialog. To open the log, a staff member needs the permissions to view users and to view the audit log.
To let a team member view the audit log, open their permissions when you add or edit them, expand the team permissions section under the store settings permissions, and select the audit log permission.
