Bank discounts

A bank discount gives money off to customers who pay with a card from a bank you choose, such as a Mada or Visa card from one Saudi bank. It applies at payment through Zid Payments. Use it for offers you agree on with a bank, to encourage customers to pay with that bank's cards. Manage bank discounts from Marketing > Bank discounts.

Bank discounts need Zid Payments to be active in your store. Until it is, the page shows a banner with Activate Zid Payments, the Create button is unavailable, and existing discounts can't be opened or switched. See Zid Payments.

Staff members need permission to view discounts to open the page, and permission to manage discounts to create, edit or delete bank discounts.

Bank card discounts aren't available with Apple Pay.

The bank discounts list

The Bank Discounts page lists your bank discounts, five per page by default. Type in the search box to find one.

Column	What it shows
Discount Name	The name customers see in your store
Bank Name	The bank's logo and name
Discount	The percentage or the amount
Start Date	The first day of the discount
End Date	The last day, or a dash when the discount has no end date
Status	Active, Inactive, Expired or Scheduled, with a switch to turn the discount on or off

Open the actions menu at the end of a row to Edit or Delete the discount. Delete asks you to confirm in the Delete Bank Discount window.

Create a bank discount

Go to Marketing > Bank discounts and select Create.
Fill in Discount Details, and optionally Discount Conditions and Display discount banner.
Check the Summary panel beside the form.
Select Create. The button stays unavailable until the name, bank, card type, discount value and start date are filled in.

The discount appears in the list with Created successfully.

Discount Details

Field	Rules
Discount Name	Required, 2 to 30 characters. The name will be visible to your customers in the store.
Bank Name	Required. Choose one bank from the list of Saudi banks.
Card Type	Tick the Visa, Mada or Mastercard card, at least one. Select All ticks all three.
Discount Type	Fixed Amount (the default) or Percentage
Fixed Amount	Required for a fixed discount. At least 2.
Percentage	Required for a percentage discount. More than 0 and at most 100.
Start Date	Required. Today or later.
End Date	Optional. Available after you pick a start date, and can't come before it. Leave it empty to run the discount with no end date.

Under the value, the form reminds you that the minimum amount a customer pays is 2 riyals.

Discount Conditions

Both conditions are optional.

Condition	Field	Rules
Set Maximum Discount	Maximum Discount	More than 0. The customer never gets a discount higher than this amount.
Require Minimum Order Number	Minimum Order Number	More than 0. The order must reach this value for the customer to get the discount.

Choose where the store shows the discount banner. Both are on by default.

Edit or delete a bank discount

Select the discount's row, or choose Edit in its actions menu.
Change the fields in Edit bank discount, then select Save.
To delete the discount, select Delete at the top of the page and confirm.
