Connect the Meta pixel and Conversions API to your Zid store
The Meta pixel measures how well your Facebook and Instagram ads work by tracking what customers do after they reach your store: the products they view, what they add to the cart and what they buy. Meta uses these events to track conversions, retarget visitors who didn't buy, optimize your campaigns and show you how customers behave. The Conversions API sends the same events from Zid's servers, so they still count when a browser blocks the pixel.
You connect both with two free apps in the App market, Meta pixel and Meta conversion API, in the Tracking & Attribution category. The Meta screens below are in Arabic; Meta shows the same steps in English when your Facebook account is set to English.
Meta conversion API is available on the Growth, Professional and Enterprise plans, as its page in the App Market says. Activate Meta pixel first: the conversions API works alongside it.
Set up Meta Ads Manager
If you already advertise with Meta, skip to Create your pixel.
Sign in to Meta Ads Manager with your Facebook account, or create an account if you don't have one, and click Get started.

Choose the field your business works in. E-commerce is the best fit for a store. Click Next.

Check that your store's Facebook page and Instagram account are connected, then click Next.

Set up your payment method now, or click Not now to add it later.

Click Next, then continue to create a new ad campaign. Meta asks for one to finish the setup.

In Ads Manager, delete the campaign that was just created. You don't need it to install the pixel.

Create your pixel
In Ads Manager, open All tools and choose Events Manager.

Click Connect data.

The pixel needs an ad account. If you don't have one, create it from Business settings > Ad accounts > Add > Create a new ad account.

Enter the ad account's name, time zone and currency, and click Next to create it.

Go to Data sources > Pixels and create a new dataset. This dataset is your pixel.

Copy the pixel ID: the number Meta shows for the dataset.
Add the pixel ID in Zid
In your Zid dashboard, open Apps > App Market and search for Meta pixel, or open the Tracking & Attribution category.
Open the app and click Activate at the top. The page scrolls to the Product catalog integration card.
To run catalog ads, click Get your feed link in Product Feeds, create a feed for Meta and add its link to your catalog in Meta Commerce Manager. See Product feeds.
Paste the pixel ID in Account code.
Click Activate. The card shows Activated, and the app appears in My apps.
To change the ID later, click Edit on the card, update Account code and click Save.
Connect the Meta Conversions API
In Events Manager, open your dataset and go to its Settings tab.
Under the Conversions API section, find Set up direct integration and click Generate access token.

Copy the token and keep it somewhere safe. Meta doesn't store it, so you can't see it again.

In Zid, open the Meta conversion API app from the App Market and click Activate.
Paste the token in Account code and click Activate.
Give your team access to your ad account
Add your marketing team or agency to your Meta business so they can manage your ads without your password.
In Ads Manager, open All tools and choose Business settings.

On the People page, click Invite people.

Enter the email address of each person you invite, and check that it's correct.

Choose the access each person gets: partial access to specific tasks, or full control of the business.

Choose the assets, such as your ad accounts, and set the permissions for each.

Click Invite to send the invitation. Repeat the steps for anyone else you want to add.

Each person accepts the invitation from the email Meta sends them.

Check that the pixel works
Visit your store, view a product and add it to the cart. The events appear in Events Manager, sometimes after a few minutes.
The Meta Pixel Helper extension for Chrome shows which events each page of your store sends.
If nothing arrives, check that you pasted only the pixel ID or the token, not the whole code. See If the events don't appear.
