Zid Ads
Zid Ads lets you create ad campaigns on Snapchat, Google, Instagram and TikTok from your dashboard, and follow them in one place. It's run with Zid's advertising partner, Optimize. Open it from Marketing > Zid Ads, or select Get started on the Zid Ads card of the Marketing page.
Zid Ads appears in the sidebar when it's available to your store. Its screens come from the Zid Ads app inside your dashboard, so their wording can differ slightly from this page.
Create a campaign
Go to Marketing > Zid Ads.
Under Get started, choose the platform that works best for your store: Snapchat or Google, the recommended platforms, or Instagram or TikTok.

Sample data from a demo store. Follow the next steps: connect your ad account on the platform, then get your ad creative ready.
Complete the campaign in Zid Ads and submit it.
Every new campaign goes through a review that usually takes up to 24 hours. If it takes longer, contact Zid support.
To advertise on Instagram, first prepare your Instagram and Facebook accounts and give Zid Ads access in Meta Business Suite.
Fees and unspent budget
Zid Ads charges a service fee of 15% of your ad budget. When a campaign ends, the budget it didn't spend returns to your wallet, usually within 24 hours. If it hasn't arrived after 24 hours, contact support so the Zid Ads team can follow it up.
Edit a campaign
You can edit a campaign while it's under review and while it's running. The ad platforms allow these changes only:
| Platform | What you can change |
|---|---|
| All platforms | The target audience |
| TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat | The ads |
| The keywords |
Every edit sends the campaign back for a new review. For any other change, end the campaign and launch a new one. Ending campaigns often weakens how the platforms' algorithms work for you, so plan a campaign fully before you launch it.
Pause or end a campaign
Choose the campaign, select stop, and choose whether to pause it for a while or end it for good. Stopping a campaign sets back its performance and what the platform has learned about your audience, so stop it only when you need to.
Why a campaign is rejected
The ad platforms have extra rules for some sectors. If your campaign is rejected although it meets these rules, contact support so the Zid Ads team can ask the platform to review it again.
| Sector | What the platforms require |
|---|---|
| Financial services | A commercial license verified by the Ministry of Commerce, a complete website that matches your company name and shows your location, terms and conditions and contact details, and ads without unrealistic or misleading promises |
| Health and medical services | A license verified by the Ministry of Health, a complete website that matches your company name, and ads without unrealistic or misleading promises |
| Clothing | No ads for underwear or immodest clothing, and no ad that leads to a page selling them |
| Hiring | An audience aged 18 or over, no targeting by gender, interests, devices or operating systems, and a whole country rather than chosen regions |
| Counterfeit products | Not allowed on any social media platform |
| Products you sell as an authorized dealer | Allowed when you can give the platforms a license from the original brand |
Prepare your Instagram and Facebook accounts
To advertise on Instagram, your Instagram account must be a business account linked to a Facebook page. Instagram and Facebook rename and move their menu items from time to time, so the names below can differ slightly in your app.
Switch Instagram to a business account
Open the Instagram app on your phone.
Go to your profile.
Tap the menu (≡) at the top of the screen.
Choose Settings and privacy.
Scroll down and choose Account.
Tap Switch to professional account.
Instagram offers two types, Creator and Business. Choose Business.
Choose the category that fits your store, such as online store, beauty, services or restaurant.
Choose whether to show the category on your profile.
Save your changes.
Link your Facebook page to Instagram
Sign in to your Facebook account.
In Pages, choose the page you want to link. It has an orange mark beside it. If you don't have a page yet, create one.
Tap Switch Now under the page.
Choose View Tools, or Professional Dashboard.
Tap See More.
Choose Linked Accounts.
Choose Instagram, then tap Connect.
Check that your Instagram account is a business account
Open the Instagram app and go to your profile.
Tap the menu (≡) and choose Settings and privacy.
Choose Account type and tools.
If you see the option to switch to a personal account, your account is a business account. If you see the option to switch to a professional account, it is still personal: go back to Switch Instagram to a business account.
Check that your page is linked to Instagram
You can also link the page from Instagram here.
In the Instagram app, go to your profile.
Tap Edit profile and find the Page field. A page that is already linked shows there.
If no page shows, tap Page and choose one of these:
Connect an existing page, if you have pages that aren't linked yet.
Create a new page, if you don't have one.
Once you finish, the page is linked to your Instagram account and shows in the Page field.
Connect Meta in Zid Ads
Go to Marketing > Zid Ads.
Choose Meta, then select next.
Link your Meta account and sign in to it.
Choose your Instagram account.
Choose the business page you want to use for your ads and your ad account.
Select continue. Zid Ads confirms that the accounts are linked.
Give Zid Ads access in Meta Business Suite
Zid Ads needs partner access to your page and your Instagram account to run your ads.
Open https://business.facebook.com and sign in to your account.
In the side menu, choose Settings.
Make sure your Instagram account is connected there. If it isn't, connect it now.
Go to Pages and copy your page ID. The Zid Ads team may ask you for it.
In the side menu, choose Partners.
Select Add, then choose to give a partner access to your assets.
Enter the Zid Ads business ID:
1899289160334810.Choose Pages, select the page linked to your Instagram account and turn on the last option, Full control.
Go to Instagram accounts, choose your account and turn on Full control for it too.
Contact Zid support to say you've sent the request, so the Zid Ads team can accept the invitation.
Once the team accepts it, you're ready to launch your Instagram ads.
Give access only to the business ID above, and never share your Meta password with anyone.
Connect your pixels
A connected pixel lets Zid Ads track your visitors, measure your sales and improve your campaigns' results. Without it, the results are less accurate. Every platform needs you to be an admin of the account or the business manager you connect, so its assets link correctly.
Connect your Meta pixel
In Zid Ads, select the three dots (⋮) in the side menu and choose Marketing Hub.
Choose Meta, then select Connect under Pixel.
Sign in to Facebook.
Choose your Business Manager, then your Pixel, and select Confirm.
A confirmation message appears when the pixel is connected.
To add the Meta pixel to your store yourself, see Connect the Meta pixel and Conversions API to your Zid store.
Connect your TikTok pixel
You can use the TikTok pixel your store already has, but only after you share it with Zid Ads. Without sharing, the pixel won't work in Zid Ads.
Contact Zid support and ask for the Zid Ads team to connect your TikTok pixel.
Share the pixel with the Zid Ads Business Center by adding it as a partner, as the team guides you.
Once it's shared, the pixel appears in Zid Ads.
Connect your Snapchat pixel
You can connect it in two places: while you choose Snapchat for a new campaign, or from Marketing Hub.
If you haven't set up Snapchat Ads yet, you're asked to set up the Snapchat Ads app first. Open it from its app page with Open App and finish its setup. After that, you can go on creating campaigns, and your assets link automatically.

If some of your Snapchat assets aren't linked, Zid Ads takes you through this path:
Sign in to Snapchat.
Choose your Public Profile.
Select Confirm.
A message confirms that the linking is complete.
If a pixel won't connect
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Your Meta pixel doesn't appear | This is usually missing permissions. You need admin access to both the Facebook page and the business manager; without it, the pixel won't show. |
| Meta shows "Missing Permissions" | Your role is Editor. Ask the account's admin to make you an admin, then try again. |
| The Snapchat pixel doesn't finish connecting | Make sure your business has a public profile on Snapchat, that it's shared, and that your user has enough permissions in Snapchat Ads Manager. |
The pixels you add to your store from the App market are set up separately; see Ad pixels.
