Connect the TikTok pixel and Events API to your Zid store

The TikTok pixel helps you target and engage the people who see your TikTok ads:

  • Follow the customer's journey, from watching an ad to completing a purchase, so you can focus your budget on the customers who convert.

  • Measure your campaigns, with conversion rates and the sales your TikTok ads bring.

  • Optimize and retarget, using what visitors do in your store to show ads to groups such as past customers or shoppers who abandoned their cart.

You connect it with two free apps in the App market, TikTok pixel and TikTok conversion API, in the Tracking & Attribution category. The conversion API app sends events from Zid's servers through TikTok's Events API, so they still count when a browser blocks the pixel. The TikTok screens below are in Arabic; TikTok shows the same steps in English when your account is set to English.

Add the pixel ID in Zid

  1. In your Zid dashboard, open Apps > App Market and search for TikTok pixel, or open the Tracking & Attribution category.

  2. Open the app and click Activate at the top. The page scrolls to the Product catalog integration card.

  3. To run catalog ads, click Get your feed link in Product Feeds and create a feed for TikTok. See Product feeds.

  4. Paste the pixel ID in Account code.

  5. Click Activate. The card shows Activated, and the app appears in My apps.

Connect the TikTok Events API

  1. In TikTok Ads Manager, open the Events page and click the pixel you created.

  2. Open its Settings tab and click Generate Access Token.

  3. Copy the token and keep it somewhere safe. TikTok doesn't store it.

Check that the pixel works

  • Visit your store, view a product and add it to the cart. The events appear in TikTok Events Manager, sometimes after a few minutes.

  • The TikTok Pixel Helper extension for Chrome shows which events each page sends, and Events Manager has a tool to test Events API events.

  • If nothing arrives, see If the events don't appear.
