Sell appointments with Zoho Bookings on your Zid store
The Zoho Bookings app connects your Zid store to Zoho Bookings, so customers book an appointment right from a product page instead of arranging it by phone or WhatsApp.
Zoho Bookings is a separate platform made by Zoho. It manages your services, appointments, staff and booking rules, and you may already use it apart from your store. The app, made by Apps Bunches, is the bridge between the two: it takes the calendar and availability from Zoho Bookings, shows them to your customers in your Zid store, and sends every new booking back to Zoho Bookings automatically.
What the app offers:
Appointments and booking rules you customize in Zoho Bookings.
Booking and payment inside your Zid store, without sending customers to outside pages.
Two ways to book, by product or by order, to suit your business.
It suits businesses that work by appointment, such as consultations and technical or professional services, catering kitchens and bakeries that need preparation time, and salons and centers that rely on advance booking.
Setting it up takes three stages:
Prepare your services in Zoho Bookings: each service's type, duration, the staff or resources that provide it, and its booking rules.
Connect your store to Zoho Bookings through the app, with keys from the Zoho API Console.
Choose how customers book, by product or by order, and link your products or your store to the services you prepared.
Once it's set up, customers see a live calendar with the times actually available in Zoho Bookings. They choose a time, complete the order and pay, and the booking reaches Zoho Bookings straight away, with no manual work from you and no change to how your store works.
The connection needs a Zoho Bookings account on its Premium plan, with a license for each service provider. Check your plan on Zoho's site before you start. The app's page in the App Market lists the themes it works with.
Prepare your Zoho account
You do this once, outside your Zid dashboard.
Create a Zoho Bookings account and set up your services.
Go to the Zoho API Console (api-console.zoho.sa) and create a client of the Server-based Applications type.

Enter any client name,
https://booking.appsbunches.comas the Homepage URL, andhttps://dashboard.booking.appsbunches.com/zoho/callbackas the Authorized Redirect URIs.

Create the client, then open its Client Secret tab and copy the Client ID and the Client Secret. You need them to connect your store.

Install and connect the app
In your Zid dashboard, open Apps > App Market, open the Bookings & Subscriptions category or search, and open Zoho Bookings.
Click Subscribe, choose a plan, review the data the app can access, such as your products, the bookings linked to them, your orders and your customers, then click Activate application for the free trial, or Continue to payment.
A page lists the permissions again. If you agree, click the install button to finish. You then move to the app's connection page.

Sign in to the app's connection platform. Your email is your store's email in Zid; change the password from the email you received when you activated the app.

Choose the booking mode, products or orders, then enter the Client ID and Client Secret from the Zoho API Console and confirm. You can't change the mode yourself after this step.

Click Integrate.

Sign in to Zoho Bookings if asked, tick the box to allow access, and click Accept.

Choose the Zoho Bookings workspace whose services you want to use, and confirm it.

Your store and Zoho Bookings are now connected.
Choose how customers book
| Booking by product | Booking by order | |
|---|---|---|
| How it links | Each product is linked to its own Zoho service, so products can have different times | One Zoho service covers the whole store |
| When customers pick a time | As they add each product to the cart | Once, from a calendar just before checkout, after adding everything |
| Appointments per order | One for each product | One for the whole order |
| Where you see the appointment | A field added automatically to each linked product in the order; customers don't see it | The order notes |
| Suits | Stores selling separate services, such as consultations or salon appointments | One appointment for everything in the order, such as bakeries or catering |
You use one mode for the whole store. To change it, contact Apps Bunches.
Booking by product
Create your services in Zid first, as products, such as a technical consultation or a training session, and make sure they're active.
In the app, choose the Zid categories to bring products from, or choose the products directly, and save.

Click the button to add a service.

Choose the Zid product to link.

Choose the Zoho Bookings service whose calendar the product shows.

Review the pair and save.

The linked services list shows each product with its Zoho service. You can link several products to one service when they share the same times.

Place a test booking on a linked product, and check that the calendar appears on its page and that the booking reaches Zoho Bookings after the order.
Booking by order
In orders mode, choose the Zoho service to link to your store, then save and finish.

The app saves the service and shows its details. You can change the linked service at any time.

Place a test order with several products, and check that the calendar appears just before checkout and that one booking reaches Zoho Bookings after the order.
You also choose whether customers must book a time, which matters when you sell products that don't need an appointment.
Check that bookings arrive
A booking reaches Zoho Bookings as soon as its payment is confirmed in Zid, with the customer's details, the date, the time and the payment status. To see it, open your workspace in Zoho Bookings and go to Appointments.
Limits
The app doesn't support group bookings, such as classes or workshops with several people in one slot.
It doesn't support bookings that span several days, such as hotel stays, trips or car rentals.
Questions
Can I use both booking modes in one store? No. You choose one mode, and Apps Bunches changes it for you if your needs change.
Does the calendar appear on every product page in products mode? No. It appears only on the products you linked to a Zoho service.
Who helps me with the setup? Apps Bunches contacts new subscribers to help them connect and check that the system fits their needs. You can also reach them from the support link in the app's connection platform.
