Auto restock
Auto restock keeps a location supplied from another one. You set a rule with a source, a destination, minimum stock levels and a schedule, and Zid creates a transfer request when products in the destination reach their minimum stock level. Find it in Products > Inventory > Stock transfer requests > Auto Restock. The page title is Auto Restock Transfer.
How auto restock works
You create a rule: stock moves from the Source inventory to the Destination inventory.
You set a minimum stock level for the rule's products, either one level for all of them or a level per product.
On the schedule you choose, at 12:00 AM, the rule checks the destination's quantities.
When products have reached their minimum stock level, the rule creates a transfer request for them.
The request goes through the usual steps: approval, sending and receiving.
Rules list

| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Transfer number | The rule's number in the list. Click it to edit the rule. |
| Source inventory | The location stock is taken from. |
| Destination inventory | The location being restocked. |
| Last triggered | When the rule last ran. |
| Status | A switch: on runs the rule, off pauses it. The change saves right away. |
| Bin and edit icons | Delete the rule after you confirm, or edit it. |
Search the list by inventory name. With no rules yet, the page shows "No Auto Restock Transfer".
Create a rule
On the Auto Restock Transfer page, click Create.
Fill in the fields below. The products table appears once you choose the source, the destination and the restock type.

Sample data from a demo store. Set the minimum stock levels in the products table, and add products if the rule is for specific products.
Click Save.
Back on the list, check that the rule's Status switch is on.
| Field | Details |
|---|---|
| Source inventory | Required. An active location to take stock from. Changing it clears the destination. |
| Destination inventory | Required. An active location to restock. Available after you choose the source, and it can't be the same location. |
| Restock type | Required. All Products includes every eligible product in the destination. Specific Products includes only the products you add. |
| Minimum stock level | Required. Global uses one level for all products. Custom lets you set a level for each product. |
| Quantity minimum stock level | Required with Global: 1 or more. Disabled with Custom. |
| Frequency | Required. Daily, Weekly on a weekday you choose, or Monthly on a day from 1 to 28. Transfers always run at 12:00 AM; it's the only available time. |
Changing the restock type clears the products in the table.
Products table
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Product | The product's image, name and SKU. |
| Destination quantity | The product's current quantity in the destination location. |
| Minimum stock level | With Global, the global level, locked. With Custom, enter a level above 0 for each product. |
| Bin icon | Removes the product. Disabled with All Products. |
With All Products, the table lists all eligible products in the destination. Search it to find a product.
With Specific Products, click Add products to choose them. At least one product is required: without one, saving shows "At least one product must be selected".
Only published, purchasable physical products with a tracked quantity can be restocked. Products with unlimited quantity, downloadable products and vouchers aren't included. Choose variants rather than their parent product.
Edit, pause or delete a rule
Edit: click the rule's number or its edit icon, change the rule, then click Save. Cancel returns to the list without saving.
Pause or resume: turn the rule's Status switch off or on.
Delete: click the bin icon and confirm.
Plans and permissions
Auto restock is part of the Professional plan. If your plan doesn't include it, Auto Restock on the transfer requests page opens an upgrade offer. See Subscription.
Staff need the permission to request automatic restock transfers to open this page. The requests a rule creates then need the usual transfer permissions to be approved, sent and received. See Staff groups.
