Affiliate marketing
Affiliates are partners, such as influencers or content creators, who promote your store with their own sales link and earn a commission on the orders they bring. Manage them in Marketing > Affiliates.
Affiliate marketing needs the staff permission to manage affiliate marketing. Adding affiliates and exporting them each need a plan that includes them; on other plans, the page shows an upgrade message and Create opens the plans that include it.
How affiliate tracking works
Each affiliate has three links:
| Link | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Affiliate sales link | The link the affiliate shares. Orders placed through it count toward the affiliate. It has the form your-store/affiliate/code |
| Affiliate report link | The link you give the affiliate to see their report. It has the form your-store/affiliate-reports/code |
| End customer landing page link | The page of your store that customers land on after opening the sales link |
You can also give the affiliate a discount coupon. When Calculate the Sales value and the commission for the affiliate if the customer uses the coupon manually without clicking on the affiliate link is on, orders that use the coupon count toward the affiliate even without the link.
Affiliates work with you, not with Zid: you agree each affiliate's commission with them and pay it yourself. A fixed commission is in your store's currency.
Add an affiliate
Go to Marketing > Affiliates and select Create. The Create affiliate page opens with the codes already generated.

Sample data from a demo store. Fill in the sections below.
Select Create.

Discount
Turn on Enable discount to link a coupon to the affiliate.

Sample data from a demo store. Choose the Coupon from the coupons already active in your store. If you have none, select Create new coupon: the coupons page opens in a new tab, where you create a coupon or reactivate an earlier one.
Optionally tick Calculate the Sales value and the commission for the affiliate if the customer uses the coupon manually without clicking on the affiliate link.
When Enable discount is on, a coupon is required.
Products
Under Applying commission, choose which products earn the affiliate a commission:
All products (the default).
Selected products: select Browse products and pick the products.
Selected categories: select Browse categories and pick the categories.

You can change these products later from the affiliate's page.
Links
The Affiliate sales link, Affiliate report link and End customer landing page link are filled in for you. You can change the codes; use English letters, numbers, hyphens (-) and underscores (_) only. Select the copy button beside a link to copy it.
In End customer landing page link, type the rest of the address after your store's URL to send customers to a product, a category or any other page within your store's domain. The affiliate opens the Affiliate report link to follow their own results.

Find an affiliate
Use the tabs to show All, Active or Inactive affiliates; each shows its count. Search by name, and use the sort menu to order by Name, Country, Commission, Total Number of Orders, Created date or Status.
Select the filter button to filter by:
Countries: one or more countries.
Total orders: choose Total orders equals to, Total orders more than or Total orders less than, then enter a number of 1 or more.
