Campaign results
After you send a WhatsApp campaign, its page follows it from preparation to the last message: its sending status, how many messages were sent, read or failed, why messages failed and who received them. From there you can retry failed messages or copy the campaign to send it again.
Open a campaign's results
Go to Marketing > Marketing campaigns.
Select the campaign, or View results on its row.
The campaign's status shows beside the page title. The delivery results appear once its messages start going out, for WhatsApp campaigns whose template Meta approved. SMS campaigns and drafts have no results.
Campaign statuses
A WhatsApp campaign's status shows beside the page title and in the Publish status column of the campaigns list. The status card on the campaign's page explains it and updates on its own while the page is open. If your store doesn't have campaign scheduling yet, a sent campaign shows Published instead.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Draft | Not sent yet. The card shows the Recipients, the Estimated cost and the Estimated sending time |
| Scheduled | Waiting for the date and time you picked. Nothing has been charged yet; your balance is checked and the cost deducted when the campaign starts. You can cancel the schedule |
| Waiting for preparation | In the queue; its preparation starts soon |
| Preparing | Zid checks the recipients' numbers and calculates the cost. The card counts the Customers checked, the recipients Ready to send and the Invalid numbers skipped. No messages have been sent yet |
| Waiting to send | The recipients are ready and the cost was deducted from your balance. Sending starts as soon as capacity is available |
| Sending | Messages are going out. A bar shows the share processed, with the Processed, Remaining and Refunded counts |
| Paused for today | The campaign used its share of your daily WhatsApp limit and resumes on its own; see Why a campaign pauses |
| Recovering | A batch of messages couldn't be completed, and Zid is refunding the cost of the recipients it didn't reach |
| Processing completed | Every batch was processed. The card counts the recipients Processed, the Invalid numbers skipped and those Refunded |
| Completed with errors | Processing finished, but some recipients weren't processed and their cost was refunded |
| Preparation failed | The campaign couldn't be prepared and no messages were sent; see When preparation fails |
| Cancelled | You cancelled its schedule. No messages were sent and nothing was charged |
| Submitted | Sent before sending statuses were available, so its progress isn't shown |
When the progress bar has a red part, it shows the recipients whose cost was refunded (Cost refunded).
Why a campaign pauses
WhatsApp limits how many messages your number can send each day, and a campaign uses only its share of that limit so your order messages and verification codes keep going out. When a campaign reaches its share, its status changes to Paused for today and the Campaign status card says We paused the campaign so your order messages keep going, with the time of the next check. The campaign resumes on its own; you don't need to do anything.
If your current limits can't finish a campaign within 5 days, it isn't sent and its status shows Preparation failed. Send it again to fewer recipients, or prepare it again after your daily message limit is raised.
When preparation fails
When a campaign shows Preparation failed, the Sending status card says why. No campaign messages were sent.
| The card says | What to do |
|---|---|
| Insufficient WhatsApp balance | The card compares what the Campaign needs with Your current balance, and shows how much to Top up at least. Select Top up balance, then select Resend at the top of the page |
| The campaign needs more time than allowed | Sending can't finish within 5 days at your current limits. Select Duplicate to make a draft copy for fewer recipients, or select Resend after your daily message limit is raised |
| We couldn't finish preparing the campaign | Select Resend at the top of the page to prepare it again |
Resend starts the preparation over at once. To change the campaign instead, select Duplicate at the top of the page: a draft copy opens for you to edit and send.
Delivery summary
Once messages start going out, four cards under Delivery summary count the campaign's messages and show each count as a share of all messages.
| Card | Counts | Rate shown |
|---|---|---|
| Sent | Messages sent to WhatsApp | Send rate |
| Read | Messages the recipient opened | Read rate |
| Failed | Messages that couldn't be delivered | Failure rate |
| Pending | Messages still waiting, including those held for a quality check | Pending rate |
The Summary beside them shows the campaign's target segment and its message as customers received it.
Why messages failed
When messages fail, the Failure details card groups the reasons by category, with the number of messages in each. Under each category, every reason shows what it means, how many customers it affected, its Error code, and whether it is Retryable or Not retryable.
Common reasons include a number that isn't on WhatsApp, an expired conversation window, a customer who blocked marketing messages, Meta limiting delivery and a paused or rejected template. Select Learn more in the card for help with WhatsApp failures.
Recipients
The Recipients table lists every message of the campaign. Use the tabs to filter by status; each tab shows its count.
| Tab | Messages that are |
|---|---|
| All | Every message |
| Accepted | Accepted by WhatsApp for processing |
| Sent | Sent to WhatsApp's servers |
| Delivered | Delivered to the recipient's phone |
| Read | Opened by the recipient |
| Failed | Not delivered because of an error |
| Quality assessment pending | Held while WhatsApp checks their quality |
| Column | Shows |
|---|---|
| Phone number | The recipient's number |
| Status | The message's current status |
| Error code / Description | For failed messages, the error code and what it means |
| Delivered at / Read at | When the message reached the phone and when it was read |
Search by customer name or phone number, or select the filter button and choose an Error code. The Retryable code shows every message that can be sent again.
Retry failed messages
Open the Failed tab.
To retry one message, select Retry on its row and confirm. The button appears only on messages that can be retried.
To retry several, tick them and select Resend to selected.
Copy a campaign to send it again
Once a campaign shows Processing completed or Completed with errors:
At the top of the page, select Copy campaign.
Choose the recipients of the copy:
All recipients uses the same list as the original campaign.
Only recipients the message failed to reach keeps only the customers whose message failed for a retryable reason.
Select Copy campaign. A draft copy with the same content is created and opens, ready for you to review and send. It isn't sent automatically.
For a campaign that shows Cancelled, Preparation failed or Submitted, select Duplicate at the top of the page instead. A draft copy opens.
Export the results
Select Export at the top of the page to export every message of the campaign. It appears once the campaign shows Processing completed or Completed with errors.
In the recipients table, select Export recipients for every message, or Export failed recipients only for failed messages.
The export is prepared in the background and the Export requests page opens, where you download the file once it's ready. See Export requests.
