Zid WhatsApp

Zid WhatsApp connects your store's WhatsApp Business number to the dashboard. From one place you chat with customers, send automated order and marketing messages, and track every message and the points it cost. Open Whatsapp in the sidebar to reach it.

Until your number is connected, this page shows the activation checklist and the subscription options; Activate Zid WhatsApp walks you through them. Once the number is connected, the page becomes your WhatsApp home page, titled WhatsApp Business.

Staff members see this page only when their permission group includes at least one WhatsApp permission: managing the profile and connection, managing the balance and subscription, viewing message logs, or using live chat. A button that needs a permission they don't have opens a notice instead of the action.

What the WhatsApp page shows

AreaWhat it shows

Message automationsShortcuts to every automated WhatsApp message you can turn on.

The buttons beside the page title change with your account status. With an active number you see Settings, which opens WhatsApp settings, and Message logs, which opens the message log. Cancel account sits in the more menu (⋮).

Free support messages

Meta charges for support messages, the replies you send within 24 hours of a customer's last message. Each WhatsApp number gets 1,000 free support messages a month, and charges apply to the messages after that. The Free support messages card shows how many are left this month, and how many of the 1,000 you used. When they run out, replies are charged from your WhatsApp points automatically, and live chat warns you about it. Click Top up balance on the Points balance card when your points run low.

Messages sent by the automatic reply and reply flows count as support messages too. To see what counts and how to make the allowance last, read Message templates and costs.

Daily messaging limit and business verification

Meta limits how many customers your number can message each day. The Overview card shows your current limit, the messages you sent today, and a badge for your tier. The tiers are 250, 2,000, 10,000 and 100,000 messages a day, then unlimited. Only conversations you start count; replies to customers who messaged you don't.

To raise your limit, verify your business with Meta:

  1. On the WhatsApp page, find the Raise your daily message limit banner in the Overview card.

  2. Click Verify business. Meta Business Suite opens in a new tab, on your business account's security center.

  3. Complete the verification steps there.

The button is disabled while your number isn't active. While Meta reviews your business, it reads Verification status. Once you are verified, the banner reads Your WhatsApp business account is verified and shows a Verified tag.

For the documents Meta asks for and how your limit grows after verification, see Meta verification, limits and display name.

Account statuses

The status tag beside Mobile phone tells you the state of your WhatsApp number. Hover it to read Meta's explanation when one is available.

When Meta reports a problem with your account, a red alert with Meta's title and description appears at the top of the page. If you canceled your number, an alert says Number canceled. To activate it again, make sure your subscription is active, then choose one of these: and explains when to use each button; see Reactivate or reconnect your number. If your WhatsApp subscription has ended, the alert says Number canceled. Renew your subscription to see your activation options instead.

If your account is Restricted, Banned or Access Revoked, follow the steps in Troubleshoot Zid WhatsApp.

Your display name is the business name customers see in WhatsApp. Meta reviews it, and the tag beside Display name shows the result:

Review your message templates

WhatsApp only lets you start a conversation with a template that Meta approved. The Message template history table lists the templates you created for automations and direct messages, five per page.

  • Search by the template's title or text in the search box.

  • Click the filter icon to filter by Status: All, Pending review, Approved or Rejected.

ColumnWhat it shows
Template nameThe template's name and the start of its text.
CategoryMarketing, Utility or Authentication.
LanguageArabic or English.
Created dateWhen you created the template.
StatusPending review, Approved, Rejected or Pending deletion.

You create templates from live chat, as described in WhatsApp live chat, and from WhatsApp marketing campaigns. For what each category costs and how to avoid rejection, see Message templates and costs.

Cancel your WhatsApp account

  1. On the WhatsApp page, open the more menu (⋮) beside the page buttons and choose Cancel account. The same button is at the top of WhatsApp settings. When activation failed, Cancel account is a button beside the page title.

  2. In Cancel WhatsApp account, choose an answer under Why are you cancelling the account? Some answers show what to do next:

    ReasonWhat the dialog tells you
Reconnect using the WhatsApp Business appThe steps to move the number to the app: cancel the account, delete the number in WhatsApp Manager, register it in the WhatsApp Business app, then select Activate a new account and confirm from the app.
Connect a different numberAfter cancelling, select Activate a new account and sign up with the new number.
Reconnect to refresh permissions or fix a problemAfter cancelling, select Activate a new account with the same number.

For It didn't get the results I expected, I ran into a technical problem and I moved to another provider you can add a note; for Another reason the note is required. Notes hold up to 500 characters. Meta restricted or banned my account needs no note.

  3. Select Cancel account, or Back to keep it.

The dashboard confirms with Account cancelled. From then on, WhatsApp messages aren't sent to your customers. Your subscription, points balance and reply flows are kept, so you can reactivate the account or activate a new account later.

Reactivate or reconnect your number

When your number is Canceled and your WhatsApp subscription is active, two buttons appear beside the page title:

  • Reactivate brings back the same account, if Zid still has access to your Meta account and the number hasn't moved to another WhatsApp account.

  • Activate a new account connects a completely different number, or the same number after it moved to the WhatsApp Business app. It opens the same connection window as a first activation; see Activate Zid WhatsApp.

If your subscription has ended, only Renew subscription appears. Renew your subscription first, and both buttons come back. Renewing needs the staff permission to manage the WhatsApp balance and subscription.

Reactivate also appears when Meta paused your number, and Restore permissions appears when the status is Access Revoked. It reopens Meta's connection window so you can grant Zid the permissions again.
