Invoices and order summaries
Zid gives every order two printable documents: the invoice, issued once the order is paid, and the order confirmation document, a summary you can print for any order. You open both from the order's page or from the orders list in Orders > All orders, and you can print them one by one or in bulk. This page also covers printing shipping labels in bulk.
Viewing and printing invoices, summaries and labels needs the staff permission to print orders.
Invoices
When an invoice is available
The order is Paid. For unpaid orders, the invoice buttons stay disabled until you confirm the payment.
Generate invoices via Zid is turned on in Invoice settings. When it is off, Zid stops issuing invoices, but you can still print order summaries.
The order was not imported from an external system. For imported orders, Zid shows Invoices are not available for API orders, and neither the invoice nor the order summary is available.
View and print an invoice
Open the order.
Select Show invoice in the side column, or More options > Show invoice.
The Order invoices page opens. Select Print at the top of the page.

Sample data from a demo store.
You can also open an invoice from the list: check the order in Orders > All orders and select Actions > Show invoices.
If the order has credit or debit notes, for example after a return, choose what to show in Select invoice: All invoices, the Order invoice or one note. The print includes only what you select.
What the invoice shows
| Part | Content |
|---|---|
| Title | Simplified tax invoice for individual customers or Electronic tax invoice for companies, when VAT is turned on for your store. Without VAT, the invoice has no tax title. |
| Header | Your store logo and name, the order barcode and the ZATCA QR code, depending on your invoice settings |
| Order information | Invoice number, Order date, Order status, Shipping method, Tracking number, Shipping address, the customer's name, phone and email, the recipient's name and phone, and the Payment method |
| Business customers | Company name, Commercial registration and Tax number |
| Products | Each product with its description, weight, quantity, price before tax, tax, price after tax and total, plus product images if you turned them on |
| Price details | Subtotal, shipping, discounts and coupons, VAT and the total |
| Notes | Customer note, Estimated time of arrival and your Exchange and return policy, depending on your invoice settings |
| Footer | Store address, Tax number and Commercial registration |
When VAT is turned on for your store, invoices end with This invoice was issued by a third party.
Credit and debit notes
An issued invoice never changes, as ZATCA rules require. When a paid order changes afterwards, Zid keeps the original invoice and issues a separate note for the difference. This happens when you cancel the order, accept a return, or edit it by adding or removing products, changing quantities or the shipping method, or adding or removing a coupon. Paid here means paid online or by a confirmed bank transfer. The type of note follows the new total:
| Note | When Zid issues it |
|---|---|
| Credit note | The order total went down, so you owe the customer the difference |
| Debit note | The order total went up, so the customer owes you the difference |
A note shows the Original purchase invoice number, the Original order date, the Issue number, the Issue date and the Issue reason. To view or print one, choose it in Select invoice on the Order invoices page.
To choose what appears on your invoices, such as the barcode, the QR code, product images, the order status, coupons, the expected delivery time and your return policy, go to Invoice settings. For e-invoicing with ZATCA, see ZATCA integration.
Order confirmation document
The order confirmation document lists the order's details, products and prices under the title Order confirmation document, with a paid or unpaid stamp. You can print it for any order, paid or not.
Open the order and select More options > View order summary.
The Order confirmation document page opens. Select Print.
The document shows the Order summary number instead of an invoice number, and the POS summary number for Zid POS orders.
Unlike the invoice, the order confirmation document always shows the order as it is now, after every edit or cancellation. Print it when you prepare an order, so your team packs exactly what the order holds.
Print documents for many orders
In Orders > All orders, select the orders.
Select Actions, then:
Show invoices to open the invoices of the selected orders on one page, or
View orders summaries to open their order confirmation documents in a new tab.
Select Print.
Show invoices includes only paid orders that were not imported. If some selected orders are unpaid, Zid tells you that only paid orders' invoices are shown. The action is disabled when Generate invoices via Zid is off.
Print shipping labels in bulk
In Orders > All orders, select the orders.
Select Actions > Print shipping label.

Sample data from a demo store. Print shipping labels groups the orders:
Orders with a shipping label, by shipping company, with the number of orders. Select Print next to a company to open its labels.
Orders without a shipping label, split into New or in progress orders that have no label yet and Custom shipping orders that use your own delivery.
To print the labels of all your ready orders at once, open the Ready tab and check the box in the table header to select the whole page before step 2.
Attach each printed label to its shipment: the shipping company uses it to track and deliver the order. A label exists only once the order is Ready and its shipping company is integrated with Zid. To issue a label for one order, see Issue a shipping label.
Stores registered as charities cannot print shipping labels.
