Fatoora (ZATCA) integration

The Fatoora integration connects your sales channels to Fatoora, the e-invoicing platform of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), so your invoices comply with the second phase of e-invoicing, known as the integration phase. Each connected channel is an e-invoicing unit, and Zid doesn't charge for connecting it. Open it from Settings > General > Fatoora platform integration.

The integration depends on your plan including VAT, and staff need the permission to manage VAT settings. Zid must also be generating your invoices: if Generate invoices via Zid is off in Invoice settings, the integration is not available.

E-invoicing units

When no unit is connected yet, the page shows a Connect your store with Fatoora platform now banner and the message There is no active e-invoicing unit.

Once you connect a unit, the E-invoicing units table lists each one:

ColumnWhat it shows

Before you connect

  • Have access to your account on the Fatoora platform, because the last step needs a code from it.

  • Check your business details and address in Store information. The connection form is filled in from them, and you can correct it before you continue.

Connect a unit

  1. Select Add new unit at the top of the page, or Connect now in the banner.

  2. Complete the Information step, then select Next.

  3. If you selected your point of sale, complete the POS info step, then select Next.

  4. Complete the OTP verification step and select Verify information.

The steps at the top of the page show where you are. Select the back arrow next to the title to return to the first step.

Enabled channels lists your sales channels. Every eligible channel is selected for you; select at least one to continue. If none of your channels is eligible, the card says so.

When a unit is already connected, the general information is locked so every unit uses the same company details. Once your online store is connected, the business address is locked too.

POS info step

This step appears when you select your point of sale. The Inventories card lists your POS locations. For each one, fill in its address (Country, City, District, Street name, Building number, Secondary number and Postal code), then:

  • Map Coordinates: required. Pick the location on the Map, using the search box, and confirm it.

  • Short Address: optional.

OTP verification step

Each unit you are connecting has its own field for a 6-digit verification code from Fatoora. To get a code:

  1. Sign in to the Fatoora platform.

  2. Select "Onboard new solution unit/device".

  3. Generate an activation code for one device.

  4. Copy the code and paste it in the field.

Then select Verify information.

Fill in the connection form in one browser tab only. If it is open in another tab, a warning appears and you cannot continue until you close the other tab.
