Hours of operation and temporary closing

Hours of operation let you close your store or stop taking orders, right away or for a set time, for example during holidays or stock-taking. Open them from Settings > Store > Hours of operation.

The top of the page has two buttons: Save stores your settings, and Activate feature (or Disable feature while a closure is on) starts or ends the closure. While your store is closed, you can still browse it from the store page link under the title.

Close your store or stop orders

  1. Under Choose the closing mechanism, choose:

    • Close store completely: the store is closed during the period you set.

    • Stop receiving orders: customers can browse products and add them to the cart, but cannot complete a purchase.

  2. Under Select period type, choose how long the closure lasts (see below) and fill in its fields.

  3. Write the message customers see.

  4. Select Save.

  5. Select Activate feature to start the closure.

To reopen early, select Disable feature.

Period types

Period typeWhat to set
No specific durationNothing. The store stays closed until you open it again.
Time period in minutesThe Minutes period.
Time period in hoursThe Hours.
Specific periodStop from date and To date, each with a date and time.
Custom days periodA weekly schedule. Available only with Stop receiving orders.

For every period type except No specific duration, choose Yes or No under Show countdown until store reopens.

Set a weekly schedule

With Custom days period, the page lists the days of the week.

  1. Turn on each day the schedule applies to.

  2. Set the day's time range in From and To. Times move in 15-minute steps.

  3. To add a second time range on the same day, select Add new period. Select Remove period to delete it.

Each day shows its time ranges next to its name.

The message customers see
