Design your online store

Online store is the sidebar group where you design the storefront your customers browse: its theme, brand, top menu, pages, blog, FAQs, search engine settings and product landing pages. Selecting Online store in the sidebar opens Themes, its first page.

What you can do in Online store

PageWhat it is for
ThemesSee your current theme, manage installed and custom themes, activate a theme, and add custom CSS or JavaScript.
Landing pagesBuild a dedicated page for one product, based on a landing page theme, and track its visits and sales.
BrandSet your colors, logo, favicon, cover image, copyright text and social media accounts.

FAQsPublish frequently asked questions and their answers.
SettingsSet up quick commerce badges and customer location. This page appears only when quick commerce is available for your store.

From Themes you also reach the Zid theme market to find new themes, and the theme editor to customize the theme's sections and settings.

Set up your storefront

A typical order for a new store:

  1. Choose a theme in Themes, or find one in the Zid theme market, then activate it.

  2. Add your logo, favicon and colors in Brand.

  3. Select Customize on your current theme and build your home page in the theme editor. Select Publish when you are done.

  4. Arrange the top links in Menu.

  5. Add custom pages, FAQs and your store policies in legal pages.

  6. Write your home page title and description in SEO so your store shows well in search results.

Your storefront shows content in each language your store supports. Add or manage languages in Languages and currencies, then fill in the English fields as well as the Arabic ones.

Who can open these pages

Each page in Online store needs a staff permission, so staff members only see the pages their permission group allows. Themes, Brand, Menu and Pages need the store design and themes permission; Blog, SEO and Landing pages need their own marketing permissions; FAQs need the FAQs permission. Set permissions in Staff groups.

Several features depend on your plan, such as browsing the theme market, custom CSS and JavaScript, custom themes, the main menu, custom pages, the blog, SEO tools and landing pages. When your plan doesn't include one, the page shows an upgrade message or an upgrade dialog. See Subscription.

In a store registered as a non-profit organization, Themes shows the themes made for non-profit stores under Public Themes, and the theme market is not offered.
