Other shipping providers

Other shipping providers are shipping and fulfillment companies that integrate with Zid. You activate them with your account at the company, and you set the zones and prices your customers see. Open them from the Logistics page: in the Other shipping providers card, select Browse. The list is titled External integrations.

You need the permission to view shipping and delivery to see the list, and the permission to manage shipping and delivery to open, activate or change a provider. Adding zones and rates for a provider depends on your Zid plan.

  • Deactivate: disconnects the provider. To use it again, you repeat the activation steps.

Check a provider's details

The provider's Details page shows its name, delivery cost and description. Providers from the Zid App Market also show their Company URL, Phone number and Support email, and let you keep your own Notes with Add note.

Activate a provider

  1. Find the provider and select View.

  2. If the delivery cost is Based on contract, the page asks you to Complete courier registration first, then return here to activate the service. Contact the company to open and activate your account first: Click here opens its website.

  3. Select Activate now.

  4. If the provider needs nothing more, it's activated at once. Otherwise Confirm activation opens:

    • Fill in the account details the provider asks for, such as an account ID, key or warehouse, and the inventory location it ships from.

    • For shipping and fulfillment companies, choose the Fulfillment settings: Inventory synchronization keeps stock in sync with the company, and Automatic orders dispatching sends new orders to it automatically. Turn each one on or off as you prefer.

    • For contract-based providers, Request account activation opens the company's sign-up page if you don't have an account yet.

    Personal details are covered.
  5. Select Activate.

For contract-based providers, Zid then opens Service Activation so you can enter the coverage areas and pricing for your first zone (see Set zones and rates for a provider). Saving it with Activate completes activation. Continue later leaves the provider as Pending activation; come back and select Activate now to finish. Some App Market providers open their own website in a new tab to authorize the connection.

Set zones and rates for a provider

The Customization card on an activated provider lists the zones customers can choose it in, and what they pay.

  1. Select Add new rate.

  2. On Service Activation, under Coverage areas, choose the Countries, then the Cities in each country. Only cities the provider covers can be selected.

  3. Enter the Zone name in your store's languages.

  4. Under Customer price, choose Flat rate and enter the Shipping price, or Weight-based pricing and enter the Base price, Base weight, Extra charge and For each additional weight.

  5. To offer cash on delivery in this zone, turn on Cash on delivery (COD) and enter the COD rate.

  6. Optionally, add a Custom note customers see at checkout.

  7. Select Save.

The table shows each zone's Zone name, number of Cities, Cash on delivery price (or Not supported), Shipping rate with its type, and a Status switch to pause it. Use Edit or delete a zone as needed.

If your plan doesn't include zone customization, Add new rate opens an upgrade message instead.

Change a provider's account settings

If the provider uses account details, Edit settings at the top of its page opens the same fields as activation. Make sure your account at the provider is active, change the values, and select Edit. The top of the page also offers Activate, Disable and Deactivate, depending on the provider's status.
