Local delivery and store pickup
Local delivery lets your own team, or a courier app you use, deliver orders from your store to the customer's door, at the fees you set for each area. Store pickup lets customers collect their orders from one of your locations. Find local delivery on the Logistics page in the Local delivery card; View all opens the Local delivery page.
Local delivery with your own couriers is part of the Growth, Professional and Enterprise plans; the Lite plan allows one courier option. Adding local delivery options depends on your Zid plan: when you reach your plan's limit, Add option shows an upgrade message. Showing a dynamic delivery date also needs a plan that includes it, such as the Professional plan: on other plans, Show dynamic delivery date is disabled and shows the plan you need. Staff members need the permission to view shipping and delivery for the lists, and to manage shipping and delivery to open an option.
Review your local delivery options
The Local delivery list shows every option you created.

| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Option name | The name you gave the option (only you see it) |
| Delivery cities | How many cities its zones cover |
| Status | A switch: on means customers can choose it at checkout. For an option you haven't finished setting up, the switch opens its zone setup. |
Select View to open an option.
Add a local delivery option
On the Local delivery page, select Add option (Add location when you have none yet).
In Local delivery option, enter a Name in Arabic, English or both. The option name is visible only to you; customers see the store courier name.

Sample data from a demo store. Optionally, write Customer notes, up to 64 characters, such as the expected delivery time.
Select Configure delivery zone.
On Activate local delivery, under Configure delivery zones, add the first area you serve:
Choose the Countries and the Cities in each country.
Enter the Zone name in your store's languages.
Under Customer price, choose Flat rate and enter the Shipping price, or Weight-based pricing and enter the Base price, Base weight, Extra charge and For each additional weight.
To accept cash on delivery in this zone, turn on Cash on delivery (COD) and enter the COD rate.

Sample data from a demo store. Select Activate.
If you select Continue later instead, the option is saved but not offered at checkout until you add a zone.
Manage a local delivery option
The option's page is titled Settings followed by its name. The buttons at the top let you Disable Option (hide it from checkout) or Enable Option, and Delete Option. If you delete an option and want it back, you set it up again from the start.

Zones & Pricing tab
Local delivery zones lists the areas you deliver to: Zone name, Cities, Cash on delivery (its price or Not supported), Shipping rate with Flat rate or Weight-based, and a Status switch. These settings apply to your store couriers only.
Select Add zone to add another area with its own fee and COD setting.
Select Edit to change a zone, or delete it.
Delivery note tab
The Delivery note tab controls the text customers see under this option at checkout, such as extra fees, delivery terms or the expected delivery date. The note appears on the checkout page only, not on product or cart pages. Under Note content, choose one of:
Custom note: write a fixed Note in Arabic and Note in English, up to 160 characters each. At least one language is required. Customers see the text as you wrote it and no date is calculated. Use it for a policy or a warning, or when your delivery time doesn't change, for example:
"Delivery within the city only"
"We'll call you to arrange a time before delivery"
"Customs fees may apply to this shipment"
"Your order arrives within 24 hours inside Riyadh"
"Delivery in 3 to 5 working days"
Show dynamic delivery date: Zid calculates and shows the expected delivery date or lets the customer pick a time slot, using the settings below.

Select Save changes when you finish.
Delivery notes and dynamic delivery dates apply to your local delivery options only, not to shipping companies.
Show a dynamic delivery date
Zid works out every date in your store's time zone. The date or time slot the customer gets appears on the order's shipping card, so your team knows when to deliver. See Order details.
Delivery type
Choose when the delivery window starts, counted from the time the customer places the order. This sets the earliest possible delivery day:
| Option | Customers see |
|---|---|
| Same day | Delivery today, with today's date, until the cut-off time and while the day still has room under your daily limit |
| Next day | Delivery tomorrow, with tomorrow's date, while tomorrow has room |
| After a specified number of days | Delivery in the Number of days you enter (at least 3), with the earliest date |
The delivery type gives the earliest possible day, and the cut-off time can push it later when an order arrives after it. Together they set the first valid delivery day.

Time slot settings
Choose how the delivery time is assigned:
Auto-assign expected delivery date: Zid picks the nearest available day.
Let customer choose a time slot: the customer picks a day and a time slot at checkout.

With Auto-assign expected delivery date, set these fields:
| Field | Rules |
|---|---|
| Cut-off time | Required. Orders placed after this time count toward the next available day. |
| Daily limit for orders | Optional switch. When on, enter how many orders you deliver per day (at least 1). Orders above the limit roll over to the nearest available day. |
For example, if the Cut-off time is 11:30 pm and a customer orders at 11:45 pm, the delivery date is counted from the next day. When a day reaches its daily limit, the next orders get the next day; if that day is full too, customers see the nearest day that still has room, with its date.
The customer doesn't choose anything: under the option they see one line with the expected day and date, such as "Delivery today" followed by Thursday, 23 July. Example of display method previews this line before you save.

Set the Cut-off time to the last time you can still prepare and hand over an order the same day, usually one to three hours before your drivers leave on their last round, so customers see a date you can keep. In busy seasons, turn on Daily limit for orders at a number you can serve well, and raise it later if you need to: orders above the limit aren't refused, they get the next available day. Use Same day or Next day when you prepare and deliver orders quickly, and After a specified number of days when you always need a fixed lead time.
With Let customer choose a time slot:
Set Advance booking: how many days ahead customers can book. Enter 0 to show today only; the maximum is 5 days.
Turn on Always show delivery time selection if customers must choose a slot every time they select this option. Otherwise Zid preselects the nearest slot.
Add your slots with Add time slot. For each slot enter a Slot name (in at least one language), a Start time and an End time. The end time must be after the start time, and it works as the slot's cut-off time. For example: "Morning" from 7:00 to 10:00 am, "Afternoon" from 2:00 to 6:00 pm and "Evening" from 7:00 to 11:00 pm.
Under Which delivery time slots should customers see?, choose Current and upcoming time slots or Upcoming time slots only.
Under Delivery days, choose All days of the week or Specific days of the week and tick at least one day.
At the bottom of the tab, Customer preview at checkout: shows the slot picker as customers will see it, so you can check it before you save.

At checkout, when the customer selects your store courier, a delivery time list appears under the shipping methods with the nearest slots, such as today and tomorrow with their hours, and an option to choose a custom date and time.

The custom option opens a date and time picker. The customer picks a day from the list (today, tomorrow and the next days within your advance booking), then a time slot, and confirms.

Name slots the way customers think of them, such as "Morning", "Afternoon" and "Evening", rather than bare hours. Use Specific days of the week to leave out days you don't deliver, such as Friday. Letting customers choose a slot suits orders where the timing matters to them, such as food or gifts.
Recommended settings by business type

| Flowers and gifts | Same day | 6:00 pm | 40 |
| Fashion and ready-made retail | Next day | 11:00 pm | 200 |
| Made-to-order products | After a specified number of days (3 to 5) | Your usual time | 50 |
