Checkout page options
Checkout page options control what customers see and can do when they sign in and complete a purchase: sign-in methods, guest checkout, Apple Pay, coupons, order notes, one-page checkout and more. You find them in Settings > General > Checkout page options.

To open this page, a staff member needs the permission to view checkout page options. To save changes, they need the permission to manage them. Some options depend on your plan: when an option is not in your plan, its switch is disabled and an upgrade icon next to its name shows the plan that includes it.
Open checkout page options
Open Settings from the sidebar.
Under General, select Checkout page options.
The page opens on one card, Configure your checkout, that lists every option with a switch.
Change a checkout option
Turn the option's switch on or off, or select its checkbox.
Select Save at the top of the page.
A confirmation appears when the options are saved. Two options save on their own instead of with Save: Send invoices via email and the Customize dialog of Customer notes. Both are explained below.
To see what an option looks like to customers before you turn it on, select How it appears in the store under it. A preview opens with an example from a storefront.
Shipping and payment options display
Shipping and payment options display sets how returning customers see shipping and payment choices at checkout. Pick one card:
| Option | What the customer sees |
|---|---|
| Compact view | Only the shipping and payment options they chose last time, ready to confirm. This is the faster checkout. |
| Full view | Every available shipping and payment option, with their previous choice highlighted. |

Customer address
Customer address determination decides how customers enter their address at checkout. Select Customization to open the address settings, where you control Google Maps, the Saudi national address and the address fields for each country. See Customer address fields.
Sign-in methods
Customers sign in at checkout with the methods you turn on.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Sign in with SMS messages | Customers sign in with text messages to their mobile number. Available only to customers in Saudi Arabia. |
| Sign in with email | Customers sign in with their email address. |
| Make it mandatory | Shown under email sign-in. Customers must enter an email address. |
| Sign in with WhatsApp | Customers sign in through WhatsApp. |

SMS sign-in works only for customers in Saudi Arabia. If you sell to other countries, also turn on Sign in with WhatsApp so those customers can sign in.
Apple Pay
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enable fast checkout with Apple Pay | Adds a one-click Apple Pay button on the cart and product pages, so customers pay without going through the full checkout. |
| Enable Apple Pay alerts in all browsers. | When a customer chooses Apple Pay in a browser other than Safari, an alert tells them to switch to Safari. |

Both options depend on your plan.
Send invoices by email
Send invoices via email sends order invoices to customers by email from an address you choose.
Turn on Send invoices via email.
In the Billing email dialog, enter the Email address you want invoices sent from.
Select Save.
Zid sends a verification link to that address, and the option shows Waiting for activation until you open the link. After verification, invoices are sent from that address. To stop, turn the switch off; the billing email is removed right away.
Sign-in and buy-now pop-ups
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Login as a pop-up | Customers sign in in a pop-up window instead of a separate page, so they stay where they are. |
| Buy now as a pop-up | The "Buy Now" button opens checkout in a pop-up window. When off, customers go to the full checkout page. |

Turning on Buy now as a pop-up also turns on Login as a pop-up, and turning off Login as a pop-up also turns off the buy-now pop-up.
Login as a pop-up is on by default. Turn it off if you prefer customers to sign in on a separate page.
These two options appear only for stores whose storefront supports pop-up sign-in and checkout.
Discounts and coupons
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Activate multiple discounts | Lets a cart discount (a coupon code, an automatic discount or a progressive discount) combine with a bundle offer or loyalty points in the same cart. Part of the Professional and Enterprise plans. |
| Show coupon code field | Shows the coupon code field at checkout so customers can apply coupons. On by default. |

A coupon code and an automatic discount never add up, even with Activate multiple discounts on. Without it, a cart takes one discount, so a cart discount doesn't combine with a bundle offer or loyalty points either. An automatic free shipping offer applies either way. See When discounts overlap.
To create coupons and discounts, see Coupons.
Guest checkout
Buy as a guest lets customers buy without signing in. It depends on your plan. Under it, choose which payment methods guests can use:
| Payment method | Notes |
|---|---|
| Online payment | Always available to guests when guest checkout is on. |
| Cash on delivery | Optional. Available only when your plan includes it. |
| Bank transfer | Optional. Available only when your plan includes it. |

In stores whose storefront supports it, Direct guest checkout follows the payment methods. Tick it to take guest customers straight to checkout without showing them the login screen. It can be ticked only while Buy as a guest is on, and turning Buy as a guest off clears it.
Guests don't have an account history with your store. When they pay cash on delivery or by bank transfer, check their name, phone number and address before you ship the order.
Customer notes
Customer notes lets customers write a note before they place their order.
Turn on Customer notes.
To change the note field's wording, select Customize.
In the dialog, fill in the field Title and its Hint text (the placeholder inside the field), in Arabic and English.

Sample data from a demo store. Select Save in the dialog.
Select Show the order note field open by default to show the note field already open at checkout, then select Save at the top of the page.
Other checkout options
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Activate one-page checkout | Shows the whole checkout on a single page for a faster purchase. Depends on your plan. |
| Show cart items which are available for pickup on your store's checkout page. | Shows customers which items in their cart can be picked up, when you offer store pickup. |
| Zid assurance | Adds Zid's follow-up on shipment updates for your customers. Appears only when the service is available to your store. |
| Allow customers to change their customer type to a company | Customers can switch to a company account and enter their company name, tax number and commercial registration number. A plan label appears when your plan does not include it. |

With Allow customers to change their customer type to a company on, customers switch between buying as an individual and as a company themselves, either on the checkout page or on their customer details page in your store, without contacting you. The option is part of the Professional plan.
Zid assurance
When Zid assurance is on, customers see it at checkout as a small service fee added to their order: 2% of the order value, up to 5 riyals per order. The customer pays this fee, not you, and offering it costs you nothing. In return, Zid follows up on the customer's shipment and handles its problems, such as a lost or damaged shipment: if the order doesn't arrive as it should, the customer gets it or their money back. This reassures customers that their order is protected.
Zid assurance is offered to stores in Saudi Arabia that have Zid Payments or Mazeed active.
Customers who don't want it can turn it off for their order on the checkout page.
To stop offering it in your store, turn the switch off and select Save.
