BNPL and other payment providers
Besides Zid Payments, your store can offer buy now pay later (BNPL) installments and connect another payment gateway. You manage both from Payments: the BNPL card lists the installment services, and Other payment Providers > Browse lists the gateways you can connect.
BNPL services need a Zid plan that includes installment services, and other gateways need a plan that includes payment gateways. Otherwise Activate or Browse opens an upgrade dialog. Connecting a gateway needs the staff permission to manage payment options.
BNPL services
BNPL lets customers split the order total into installments while the provider pays you. Each provider approves merchants under its own terms, so you need an account with the provider before you can turn it on.
| Service | What customers get |
|---|---|
| Tabby | Split purchases into 4 interest-free payments |
| Tamara | Split payments or pay in full |
| Madfu | Split bills into flexible installments |
| Mispay | Split payments into 3 monthly installments with no fees or interest |
| Emkan pay | Split purchases into 5 installments at the cash price |
Each card in the BNPL card shows Activated or Not activated. When Emkan or Madfu is offered to your store as a Zid Payments network, Activate on its card opens the networks in Zid Payments settings, where you switch it on. See Offer Emkan or Madfu through Zid Payments.
Open a BNPL service
Go to Payments.
In the BNPL card, select Activate on the service.
The service page opens with three tabs: Overview (how it works and how to sign up), FAQ and Contact (the provider's support details), and the Activation form below them.
Connect a BNPL account you already have
Sign up with the provider from the link in Overview and wait for its approval.
Copy the keys the provider gives you into the Activation form. Tamara emails its keys after you sign its contract, and Mispay shows its keys once you finish registering.
Tick Enabled and select Save.
| Service | Fields in the activation form |
|---|---|
| Tabby | Public key, Secret key, Show Tabby in product page, Show Tabby in cart page |
| Tamara | Notification token, Public key, API token, Show Tamara in product page, Show Tamara in cart page |
| Madfu | App Code, Username, App key, Authorization token, Password |
| Mispay | X-app-id, X-app-secret |
| Emkan pay | Client key, Client secret, Merchant ID |
Every field is required. The product page and cart page options show the provider's installment message on those storefront pages. To pause a service, clear Enabled and save.
Set up each BNPL service
Madfu
Apply on Madfu's website from the link in Overview.
Once Madfu approves you, copy the keys it gives you into the Activation form: App Code, Username, App key, Authorization token and Password.

Emkan pay
If Zid Payments is your active gateway, you don't need an Emkan account: turn Emkan on as a Zid Payments network. See Offer Emkan or Madfu through Zid Payments.
With another payment gateway:
Apply on Emkan's website from the link in Overview.
Upload the registration documents Emkan asks for.
Copy the keys Emkan gives you into the Activation form: Client key, Client secret and Merchant ID.
Tick Enabled and select Save.

Tabby
Tabby splits each purchase into four interest-free monthly payments and pays your store directly. You can ask Zid to open a Tabby business account for you (see Request a Tabby or Tamara account from Zid), or link the account you have:
Under Activation, choose I have a Tabby business account already.
Enter the Public key and Secret key from your Tabby dashboard.
Tick Show Tabby in product page and Show Tabby in cart page to show Tabby's installment message on those pages.
Tick Enabled and select Save.

Mispay
Mispay splits the customer's payments into three monthly installments with no late fees. Mispay sets each customer's purchase limit.
Register with Mispay from the link in Overview.
When you finish registering, Mispay shows your activation keys, the App ID and the App Secret.
Enter them in X-app-id and X-app-secret.
Tick Enabled and select Save.

Tamara
Tamara lets customers split the bill into three or six interest-free payments. Ask Zid to open a Tamara business account for you (see Request a Tabby or Tamara account from Zid), or link the account you have:
Under Activation, choose I have a Tamara business account already.
Enter the Notification token, Public key and API token that Tamara emails you after you sign its contract.

Tick Enabled and select Save.
Request a Tabby or Tamara account from Zid
Stores in Saudi Arabia can ask Zid to open a business account with Tabby or Tamara for them.
Open Tabby or Tamara from the BNPL card.
Under Activation, choose Submit a business account opening request.
Enter your Freelancer Key if you are an individual, or your Unified National Number (700) if you are a business.
Select Activate. Zid sends the request with your latest Saudi bank account. If you have none, a dialog asks you to add one first.
If you already have an account, choose I have a Tabby business account already or I have a Tamara business account already instead and fill in your keys.
An alert on the page follows your request:
| Alert | What to do |
|---|---|
| We’ll automatically request the account for you | Nothing has been sent yet. Enter your number and select Activate |
| Your request has been submitted successfully and will be reviewed | Wait for the provider to contact you by email |
| Your request has been approved by Tabby. | Sign in to the Tabby dashboard, copy your integration keys and complete activation |

| Additional information is required. | Continue on Tamara's partner portal |
| You already have an account registered | Link your existing Tamara account from the partners' portal |
| Your request was not approved. | The provider did not approve the request under its eligibility criteria |
Other payment gateways
Other gateways process card payments instead of Zid Payments. Only one card payment gateway can be active at a time: activating a gateway turns off the one you use now, including Zid Payments.

Go to Payments and select Browse in Other payment Providers.
On Other payment providers, each gateway shows its Supported networks and how many countries it supports. Select the countries link to see the list. Which gateways appear depends on your store's country.
Select Activate on the gateway you want.
Tap, for example, accepts mada, Visa, Mastercard and other networks. It appears for stores in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Qatar, and for stores in other countries whose plan includes it.
What happens next depends on the gateway:
Gateways you link on their own site: Activate opens the gateway's site in a new tab. Sign in or sign up there and approve the link. When the gateway sends you back to Zid, the dashboard finishes the link and shows The payment provider has been activated successfully. If the link was approved but not finished, select Complete activation. With Tap, for example, you enter the ID number registered with Tap, approve the request in the Nafath app by tapping the number Tap shows (the Nafath steps are in Activate Zid Payments), then complete the details Tap asks for.

Personal details are covered. Gateways already linked to your store: Activate asks Are you sure you want to activate the payment gateway? Select Ok to switch to it.
Gateways you set up with keys: Activate opens a setup page. Follow the gateway's instructions in the alert (the Help center link has more), choose the Payment options to offer, enter the keys the gateway gave you, switch on Enabled and select Save. Place a trial order afterwards to confirm payments work.
While a gateway is active, the page shows only that gateway, with Deactivate to turn it off.
You cannot activate a new gateway while wallet splitting is running or while a Zid financing repayment is still being collected from your payments.
