Logistics settings

Logistics settings gathers the options that shape your store's shipping experience: the order of shipping methods at checkout, the sender details printed on shipping labels, and shortcuts to shipping constraints and free shipping. Open it from the Logistics page with Settings.

You need the Zid Ship view permission and the permission to manage Zid Ship settings.

What the settings page shows

Select Customize on a card to open it.

Change the order of shipping methods at checkout

  1. On Shipping method display order, select Customize.

  2. On Shipping prioritization, the list shows all your active shipping options: Zid Ship methods, custom carriers, local delivery, pickup and other providers.

  3. Drag a method up or down, or type its position in the number box and press Enter.

  4. Select Update.

Customers see the methods in this order at checkout. Update stays disabled until you change the order.

Arranging shipping methods depends on your Zid plan. Without it, Customize shows an upgrade message.

Add sender details for shipping labels

Sender details tell carriers who to contact at each inventory location, and they appear on new shipping labels issued from that location.

  1. On Shipping sender information, select Customize.

  2. Select Add contact.

  3. In Create sender profile, fill in:

    FieldRules
Officer nameRequired. The person who hands over shipments
    EmailRequired, a valid email address
    Phone numberRequired, for example +966500000000
InventoryRequired. The location this contact handles
The Create sender profile window with the Officer name, Email, Phone number and Inventory fields

  4. Select Save.

The table lists each contact's Inventory name, City and Country, Officer name and Status. Use the Status switch to turn a contact on or off, and Customize to edit the name, email and phone. You can't move a contact to another inventory; changes apply to new labels issued from that inventory.

Set shipping constraints

Shipping constraints hide a shipping method at checkout when an order meets conditions you set, such as a product in the cart, the cart's weight or the customer's city. Use them so customers see only the methods that suit each order.

Shipping constraints are available on the Growth, Professional and Enterprise plans.

  1. On Shipping constraints, select Customize.

The Logistics settings page with the Customize button on the Shipping constraints card highlighted
Sample data from a demo store.
  2. The Shipping and payment constraints page opens on the Shipping constraints tab. It's the same page as Settings > General > Shipping and payment constraints.

  3. Select Create constraint, name the constraint, choose the shipping methods to hide, add its conditions and select Save.

For the full list of conditions, examples and the custom error message customers see when no method is left, see Shipping and payment constraints.

Set free shipping conditions

Free shipping conditions are set in a discount, not in the logistics settings.

  1. On Free shipping conditions, select Customize.

  2. A new discount opens with the Free shipping offer template filled in: it applies automatically and gives free shipping from a minimum purchase amount of 150 in your store's currency.

  3. Change Minimum purchase amount, or add conditions such as Customer locations to limit free shipping to certain cities.

  4. Select Create.

See Create a discount code and Automatic discounts and free shipping.
