Shipment tracking and transactions

The shipments page lists every Zid Ship shipment your store created, with its tracking number, cost and status, and the transactions log shows what each shipment cost you and the cash on delivery Zid collected for you. Open them from Logistics > Shipments tracking (the page is titled Shipments) and Logistics > Transactions log. You can also open the transactions log with Transactions log at the top of the Shipments page.

Both pages need the Zid Ship view and shipment permissions, and aren't available for non-profit (NGO) stores. Filtering and exporting depend on your Zid plan. Shipments with your own carrier accounts or other providers are tracked with those companies.

How a Zid Ship shipment is created

Zid creates the shipment when you prepare an order shipped with a Zid Ship method: when you mark the order Ready, the shipping label is issued, the label cost is charged, and the shipment appears here. You manage the order itself, its label and its status from the order page. See Order details.

  1. Select the Filters icon, the one with three lines, next to the search box.

Track a shipment

  1. Select View on the shipment.

  2. The shipment details window shows the Shipment number, Shipping method, Shipment status, Order number, Customer name, Destination, Weight and Shipping cost.

  3. Under Shipment tracking, follow each update from the carrier, newest first, with its date and time, such as "Shipment Assigned".

If a cancelled shipment has no tracking updates, the window shows Shipment Cancelled instead.

Report a late pickup or delivery

When the carrier flags a shipment as a late pickup or late delivery, its row shows Report. Select it to open a support ticket for the order. After that, the row shows Show ticket, which opens the ticket. The same actions appear in the shipment details as Report issue and Show ticket. Report a shipment as soon as you see the flag so Zid's team can follow it up with the carrier. See Support tickets.

    • Export: downloads a file of the selected shipments.

Review shipping charges and COD settlements

The Transactions log page, titled Shipping transactions, has two tabs:

  • Shipping fees: every charge for your shipments, such as label costs and extra weight, whether already taken from your wallet or still to be taken. Use it to check each shipping expense on your store.

  • COD settlement: the orders your customers paid in cash on delivery, with the amounts the carriers owe you or have already settled. Use it to follow your cash on delivery revenue.

Both tabs have the same columns.
