Grouped products and bundles

You can sell several products together in two ways:

  • A Grouped product is a fixed set: you choose the products and how many of each, and customers buy the whole set at the grouped product's price.

  • A Dynamic Bundle lets customers build their own bundle: you define selections, such as "Choose 2 shirts" and "Choose 1 cap", and customers pick the items.

Create either one from Products > All products > Create. See Add a product.

Both product types depend on your plan: grouped products are included in the Growth, Professional and Enterprise plans, and dynamic bundles in the Growth plan and above. A type your plan doesn't include appears greyed out in Create new product. Neither has the Quantities and inventory card: stock comes from the products inside them.

Grouped products

A grouped product has a Products included in the group card. Set the grouped product's name, price and other details in the rest of the page as usual.

To create one, select Grouped product in Create new product.

Add products to the group

  1. Open the grouped product and select Browse products in Products included in the group.

  2. In Select products, filter by category or search, tick the products to include and select Save. Only single products that can be bought are listed, so digital files can't be part of a group. For a product with options, pick its variants rather than the product itself.

Choose the inventories

You must select at least one inventory once the group has products (Select at least one supported inventory.). Only inventory locations that stock every product in the group can be chosen; the others are marked Not supported. If no location stocks all the products, No inventory currently has stock records for every selected product. appears.

How the group's stock is calculated

The number of groups you can sell is worked out automatically for each selected inventory: for each product, its stock divided by the quantity the group needs, rounded down; the lowest result is the group's stock. If every product is unlimited, the group is unlimited.

When a customer orders the group, each product in it is withdrawn from stock by the quantity the group contains, so you don't track the group's stock separately.

The Total for grouped product summary shows the totals calculated from the products you chose: Cost, Weight and Inventory quantity. Expand Detailed quantities to see the quantity for each selected inventory.
