Guest checkout
Guest checkout lets customers place an order without signing in to your store. You turn it on, and choose which payment methods guests can use, in Settings > General > Checkout page options.
Buy as a guest depends on your plan, and so do cash on delivery and bank transfer for guests. When your plan doesn't include an option, it is disabled and an upgrade icon shows the plan that does. To change checkout page options, a staff member needs the permission to manage them.
Turn on guest checkout
Open Settings from the sidebar, and under General select Checkout page options.
Turn on Buy as a guest.
Under it, tick the payment methods guests can use. See Choose how guests pay.
Select Save at the top of the page.

To stop guest checkout, turn Buy as a guest off and select Save. Customers then sign in before they buy, with the sign-in methods you turned on.
Choose how guests pay
| Payment method | For guests |
|---|---|
| Online payment | Always available while guest checkout is on. Its box is ticked and can't be cleared. |
| Cash on delivery | Optional. Tick it to let guests pay cash on delivery. Available only when your plan includes it. |
| Bank transfer | Optional. Tick it to let guests pay by bank transfer. Available only when your plan includes it. |
Customers who buy as guests can pay only with the methods ticked here. To hide payment methods for orders that meet conditions you set, for every customer, see Shipping and payment constraints.
Guests don't have an account history with your store. When they pay cash on delivery or by bank transfer, check their name, phone number and address before you ship the order.
Take guests straight to checkout
In stores whose storefront supports it, Direct guest checkout appears under the payment methods. Tick it to take guest customers straight to checkout without showing them the login screen, then select Save.
You can tick it only while Buy as a guest is on, and turning Buy as a guest off clears it.
Find guest orders
Guest orders arrive in Orders like any other order, marked so you can tell them apart:
In the orders list, a Visitor badge appears under the customer's name and mobile number. See Manage orders.
In the order's Customer details card, the same Visitor badge appears next to the name, with the alert Verify the customer's data before shipping or delivering the order. See Order details.
In Abandoned carts, the Customer type filter separates carts left by a Guest customer from those of a Registered customer.
Guest checkout or sign-in
Guest checkout removes the sign-in step, so customers who don't want an account can still buy. What they give up is what an account brings:
Guests don't have a wallet, so they can't earn or spend wallet credit.
The welcome automated message goes only to customers who create an account.
Orders placed as a guest don't count as referrals.
Customers who sign in use the methods in Sign-in methods: SMS, email or WhatsApp. Make it mandatory, under Sign in with email, makes customers enter an email address. You can offer guest checkout and sign-in together: customers who want an account sign in, and the rest buy as guests.
