Operational analytics

Analytics > Operational shows how your orders move through fulfillment: how many orders you received, how long they take between statuses, which payment and shipping methods customers choose and how many orders sit in each status. The page heading is Analytics operational.

The page needs the operational analytics staff permission. Some figures and charts depend on your plan and show a blurred value or an upgrade card when locked.

Read your operational figures

  1. Go to Analytics > Operational.

The Operational analytics page with its Stats card, on a plan where the figures are locked
The green boxes mark the path: the main menu tab, Analytics, then Operational.Sample data from a demo store.
  2. Pick a period in the date field. The page opens on the last 90 days.

  3. Read the Stats card. Hover the information icon beside a figure for its definition.

FigureWhat it measures
TotalTotal value of the period's orders. Its tooltip calls it the total revenue from shipments.
Number of ordersNumber of orders, excluding cancelled orders.
Preparation to ready averageAverage time for an order to move from preparing to ready for shipping.
Creation to delivery averageAverage time for an order to move from preparing to delivering.
In reverse to reversed averageAverage time for a return to move from processing reverse to reversed.

Each average shows its unit beside the number.

A long average between statuses usually points to a step that needs attention. The preparation time shows how quickly your team packs orders and hands them to the shipping company, and the return time shows how quickly shipping companies bring returned shipments back to you. Compare the times with similar stores in Operations insights.

See payment and shipping methods

Two pie charts sit below the figures:

  • Payment method: the share of orders paid with each payment method your customers chose, such as cash on delivery, bank transfer or online payment with Zid Payments.

  • Shipping method: the number of orders for each shipping method, such as a Zid Logistics service level, pickup from your branch or your own delivery person. Nonprofit stores don't see this chart.

Hover a slice to see its value.

Check how many orders are in each status

The Order status summary card lists every order status with the number of orders in it for the period, such as new, preparing, ready, delivering, delivered, cancelled or reversed. Nonprofit stores see Donation status summary. To work on these orders, filter the orders list by status.
