Store analytics

The Analytics group in the sidebar collects every report on how your store performs: sales, orders, visits, customers, marketing, payments and shipping. This page lists the analytics pages, explains the controls they share and walks through the All analytics summary page.

Each analytics page needs its own staff permission, and you only see the pages your permissions allow. All analytics needs the permissions for marketing, financial, operational, product and payments analytics together. See Staff permission groups.

Nonprofit stores see donation wording across analytics: Donations, Donors and Donation opportunities replace orders, customers and products. Inventory reports, Logistics and the shipping method chart don't appear for nonprofit stores.

Choose a date range

Most analytics pages have a date field at the top. It opens on the Last 90 days and every figure, chart and table on the page follows the range you pick.

  1. Click the date field at the top of the page.

The date field open on an analytics page, with the quick presets beside the calendar
Sample data from a demo store.
  2. Pick one of the Quick presets. On All analytics, Marketing and Operational, they are Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 14 days, Last 30 days, Last 60 days, Last 90 days, This month, Last month, This quarter, Last quarter, This year and Last year. The other pages also offer This week, Last week and All time. With a "Last" days preset selected, tick Include today to count today, or clear it to end the range yesterday.

  3. Or select a start date and an end date in the calendar.

  4. Click Ok. The page reloads its numbers for the new range.

The range is saved in the page address, so reloading the page or sharing its link keeps the same period. If you choose an end date before the start date, the dashboard uses the start date for both.

These pages show one period at a time. To compare a period with an earlier one, such as this month against the same month last year, build a custom report and turn on Comparison to past.

Know when the numbers were updated

Analytics pages are not real-time. Their numbers refresh periodically, and each page's description ends with last updated and the date and time of the latest refresh. On All analytics, the date shown is the oldest refresh among the financial, operational and marketing data. For what is happening right now, open Live analytics.

Read figures that are locked by your plan

Some metrics, charts and tables are included only in higher plans:

  • A locked figure shows a blurred value with an upgrade tooltip beside its label that names the plan it needs.

  • A locked chart or table shows Not included in your plan (or a shorter message on narrow cards) and a button to upgrade to the plan that includes it.

The Analytics page on a plan without these figures: blurred values beside each label and upgrade cards in place of the charts
The green boxes mark the path: the main menu tab, then Analytics.Sample data from a demo store.

Different cards can name different plans, so a single page can offer more than one upgrade. The upgrade button takes you to the plan checkout or the packages page. See Subscription and plans.

Store currency and converted amounts

All amounts appear in your store's main currency. If your main currency isn't the Saudi riyal, pages that total sales show a warning that a slight mismatch can happen for some metrics, because orders paid in other currencies are converted to the store's main currency.

How visits are counted

A visit, shown as Sessions on some pages, is one browsing session in your store, however many pages the visitor opens. If a visitor is inactive for 30 minutes and then carries on browsing, a new visit starts. Conversion figures, such as Orders CTR, divide orders by these visits, so counting each session once keeps them accurate.

Export an analytics page

Marketing, Financial, Operational, Payments and Logistics have an Export button next to the date field. It opens your browser's print window with the page as it appears, so you can print it or save it as a PDF file.

  1. Set the date range and, on Marketing, open the tab you need.

  2. Click Export.

  3. In the print window, pick a printer or the option to save as PDF, then confirm.

Export needs the analytics export staff permission and a plan that includes exporting that page. When your plan doesn't include it, the button is hidden, except on Payments, where it opens an upgrade window instead. For data files, use the CSV export in custom reports or in the Zid Insights analyses.

Read the All analytics page

Go to Analytics > All analytics. The page opens with four figures for the selected range:

FigureWhat it measures

Hover the information icon beside a label to read its definition. Below the figures, the page shows these charts and tables:

The screenshot at the top of this page shows the four figures, Sales value over time and Customer funnel. The sections below show the rest of the page, card by card.

When a chart has no data for the range, it shows a message that the data will appear once it starts coming in.

Orders and visit sources

Orders over time plots how many orders you received on each day of the range, so you can spot the days a campaign or an offer paid off. Visit sources splits your visits by the site or channel that sent them, such as a search engine, a social network or a direct visit to your store's address. When the source of a visit can't be identified, it appears as unknown.

Payment and shipping methods

Payment method shows the share of orders paid with each method, such as bank transfer, cash on delivery or Zid Payments. Shipping method shows the share of orders that went out with each shipping option, such as a Zid Logistics service level, a shipping company you contracted yourself, pickup from your branch or your own delivery person. Hover a slice to see its exact value.

Top customers and cities

Top customers lists your five customers with the highest purchases, and Top cities your five cities with the most orders or sales. Each table has two tabs above it: Number of orders ranks the rows by how many orders they placed, and Total sales by how much they spent. Click a customer to open their profile in a new tab.
