Sign in and create your store

You sign in to the Zid dashboard with your email and a verification code, your fingerprint, face or screen lock, your password or your Google account. If you don't have a store yet, you create one from the same page in three short steps.

Sign in with a verification code

Signing in with a code is the default, so you don't need to remember a password.

  1. Open the dashboard sign-in page (Welcome back!).

  2. Enter your email in Email and select Next.

  3. On the Enter secure code page, check where the code went: your email address, or the phone number ending with the digits shown.

  4. Enter the 4-digit code and select Verify code.

The dashboard opens with a welcome message. If you came from a link to a specific dashboard page, that page opens instead.

If the code doesn't arrive, wait for the countdown next to Click to resend to end (60 seconds), then select it to get a new code.

Some accounts must sign in with a password. For these accounts, Next opens the password page directly, and the option to sign in with a code doesn't appear.

Sign in with biometrics

Once you add a passkey to your account, you can sign in with your fingerprint, face or screen lock instead of waiting for a code. Add one from Security settings, or select Activate when the home page offers it.

  1. Enter your email on the sign-in page and select Next. When your account has a passkey and your browser supports it, the Sign in with biometrics page opens instead of the code page.

  2. Select Continue with biometrics.

  3. Confirm with your fingerprint, face or screen lock when your device asks.

To get a code instead, select Use a verification code instead. If you cancel the device's prompt or the browser can't use biometrics, the page tells you; try again or use a code.

Sign in with a password

  1. Enter your email on the sign-in page and select Next.

  2. On the code page, select Login with password.

  3. Enter your password and select Login now. The password has at least 8 characters.

To go back to signing in with a code, select Login with OTP on the password page. To change your password while signed in, see Account settings.

If two-factor authentication is on for your account, Zid asks for a verification code after your password. You turn it on or off in Security settings.

Sign in with Google

  1. On the sign-in page, select Login with Google.

  2. Choose the Google account you use with Zid.

The Login with Google button also appears on the password page.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. Enter your email on the sign-in page, select Next, then select Login with password.

  2. Select Forgot password? under the password field.

  3. On the Password recovery! page, enter your email and select Send link.

  4. Open the reset link that Zid emails you. Zid sends the link only when the email belongs to an account.

  5. On the Setup password page, enter the new password in Enter new password and again in Repeat password.

  6. Select Save changes. Zid confirms with Password is updated and opens the password sign-in page.

Your new password must meet every rule below:

RuleRequirement
LengthAt least 8 characters
Uppercase letterAt least one letter from A to Z
Lowercase letterAt least one letter from a to z
NumberAt least one digit from 0 to 9
SymbolAt least one of ! @ # $ % ^ & * ? _ ~
ConfirmationRepeat password matches Enter new password exactly

To leave the recovery page without sending a link, select Back to login.

A one-time sign-in link signs you in without a password and opens the page it points to, such as your subscription page or your wallet. If the link has expired or was already used, the sign-in page opens and you sign in as usual.

Create a new store

Registration has three steps, and a progress panel shows how far you are: Get started, Personal info and Store details. On a phone, the progress appears at the top of the screen.

Step 1: Get started

  1. On the sign-in page, select Create account next to Don't have an account?.

  2. On the Let’s get started page, enter your email and select Create your store. You can select Sign up with Google instead and skip the email code.

  3. Enter the 4-digit code Zid sent to your email and select Verify code. To use another address, select Change email. If the code doesn't arrive, wait for the 60-second countdown to end, then select Click to resend next to Didn't get a code?.

Step 2: Personal info

  1. On Personal Information, enter your Full Name and your Phone number. The country code starts on Saudi Arabia (+966); change it if your number is from another country.

  2. Select Continue. Zid sends a 4-digit code to your phone: by text message for Saudi numbers, and by WhatsApp for other numbers.

  3. Enter the code and select Verify code. For a Saudi number, you can select Send code via WhatsApp (or Send code via SMS) to get the code another way. To resend the code, wait for the countdown, then select Click to resend. To correct your number, select Back and enter it again.

  4. On Store Location, choose your business's official Country and City, then select Continue. Gulf countries appear first in the list.

Step 3: Store details

On Store Details, answer each question, then select Create store.

Every field is required. Zid shows Your commerce starts in moments!, then opens the plans page so you can choose a subscription. See Subscription, plans and billing.

By continuing, you agree to Zid's terms and privacy policy, linked at the bottom of the registration form.

If you stop before the last step, sign in again with the same email. Zid takes you back to the first step you haven't finished, such as verifying your phone or choosing your store details.

Fix a "Bad Request" page when you sign in

If signing in opens a page that says "400 Bad Request" and "Request Header Or Cookie Too Large", your browser is holding too much old data for Zid. Clear your browser's cookies and cached data, then sign in again.

A browser page showing 400 Bad Request: Request Header Or Cookie Too Large
Personal details are covered.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome and select the menu button (three dots) at the top corner of the window.

  2. Select Settings, then Privacy and security, then Delete browsing data.

Chrome's Privacy and security settings with Delete browsing data at the top of the list
    Personal details are covered.
  3. Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, choose a Time range, then select Delete data.

Chrome's Delete browsing data window with the time range, cookies and cached files selected and the Delete data button
    Personal details are covered.

Safari on a Mac

  1. Open Safari and select Safari in the menu bar, then Settings.

  2. Select the Privacy tab, then Manage Website Data.

Safari's Privacy settings with the Manage Website Data button
    Personal details are covered.
  3. Choose the Zid sites, such as the dashboard sign-in page, and select Remove.

Menu names can differ slightly between browser versions, and the screenshots show the browsers in Arabic.

Clearing this data signs you out of those sites and resets some of their preferences, so you sign in to them again afterwards.

Try the demo store

To explore the dashboard before you register, select Browse demo store at the top of the registration page. A demo store opens in a new tab. It shows a banner with Launch your store today, which signs you out of the demo so you can create your own store.
