Zid Voice

Zid Voice is an AI voice assistant that calls customers who left products in their cart, on your behalf. It reminds them of their order, offers them a deal you choose and sends them the discount code, so more abandoned carts become sales. Open it from Orders > Zid Voice.

Zid Voice appears in the sidebar under Orders once the app is installed in your store from the App market. Opening it needs the staff permission to view embedded apps. Its screens come from the Zid Voice app inside your dashboard, powered by Sarj, so their wording can differ slightly from this page. The EN button at the top of the app switches its language.

The app has its own menu: Overview, Campaigns, Carts, Customers, Call log and Settings. The bar at the top of every screen shows your remaining call balance, with a button to refresh the figures.

Agree to call your customers

The first time you open Zid Voice, it asks you to confirm call consent. You do this only once.

  1. Go to Orders > Zid Voice.

  2. Read the consent message: you confirm that your store has these customers' agreement to be contacted, and that any request not to be called again is respected immediately.

  3. Type your name in the name field and select the button to agree.

Confirm how the assistant says your store name

Before your first campaign, listen to your store name as the assistant will say it on calls, and approve it. Until you do, the overview shows a setup card with the store name pronunciation step and a button to complete it.

  1. In the app's menu, open Overview.

  2. Under the spoken store name, choose the fixed word the assistant says before your name: store or charity.

  3. Type your store name after the fixed word in Arabic letters, the way it is pronounced.

  4. Select the listen button to hear it.

  5. If it doesn't sound right, change the letters or add diacritics, such as a damma, a kasra or tanween, select save, and listen again.

  6. When it sounds right, select the button that confirms the name is correct. Until then, the screen notes that the pronunciation isn't approved yet.

Create a call campaign

A campaign calls a group of customers with one offer. It has five steps: the offer, the customers, the script, the call time and the launch. Your progress is saved automatically as you go, and you move between steps with next and previous.

  1. In the app's menu, open Campaigns and select the button for a new campaign.

Step 1: the offer

  1. Enter the campaign name.

  2. Under the offer details, choose the offer, such as a percentage discount, and enter its value. Optionally, choose the date the offer ends, which the assistant mentions so customers know how long it lasts, and a minimum order value.

  3. Under the discount code, choose what the assistant says about the discount:

    • No code: the call offers the deal without a code.

    • I have a code: use a code you already created in your store.

    • Create the code in my store: Zid Voice creates a new code in your store when you launch, with as many uses as the customers it will call.

Step 2: the customers

  1. Choose who to call:

    • Abandoned carts: carts not completed in your store, from the last 90 days by default. You can change the period, sort by newest, oldest, highest or lowest value, set a minimum or maximum cart value, limit them to carts from the last few days, and choose how many customers to call.

    • Your own file: upload a CSV or Excel file with the customers' names and mobile numbers.

  2. Select next. The number of customers is counted now, so some may complete their order before their call.

Step 3: the script

  1. Review the script: exactly what the assistant will say, in order, shown for a sample customer. It covers the reason for the call, the offer and the follow-up question.

  2. Select the button to listen to the whole call, or listen to each part, to make sure the offer details are right before you approve them. When the campaign has a discount code, every customer who answers and doesn't refuse the offer gets it on WhatsApp.

  3. Select next.

Step 4: the call time

  1. Under the call time and attempts, set the hours to call between and the number of attempts per customer. Times are in Riyadh time.

  2. Under the campaign days, choose the day calls start. It's today by default; you can pick a later day. Optionally, choose the last day of the campaign.

Call during working hours and avoid late hours, so customers are more likely to answer and listen.

  1. Optionally, place a test call: enter your mobile number and select the button to call you. It's a real call that lets you check how your store name sounds, and it reaches you within one to two minutes. To hear this campaign's own script, use the listen buttons in the script step.

  2. Select next.

Step 5: the launch

  1. Review the campaign summary: the campaign type, the offer, the discount code, the calling hours, the number of customers to call, the campaign days, the assistant's voice and your call balance. Calls show Sarj's default number.

  2. Select the button to launch the campaign. Calls start within one to two minutes. To finish later instead, save the campaign as a draft.
