Customer details

The customer details page gathers everything about one customer: their orders and spending, abandoned carts, addresses, wallet, loyalty points, referrals and wishlist, with their contact details, tags, checkout settings and internal notes in the side panel. Open it from Customers > All customers by selecting a customer's name.

In a store registered as a non-profit organization, the page is called Donor details and orders appear as donations, for example All donations and Donations history.

Some sections depend on your plan, such as the order statistics and history, abandoned carts, loyalty points, referrals, the wishlist, customer notes and the cash on delivery setting. When your plan does not include one, it shows blurred values or an upgrade message.

Edit a customer's details

  1. Select Edit details at the top of the page.

  2. Change the fields in the Edit customer dialog: the Customer type, Name, Email, Mobile, Gender, Country, City and Date of birth, or the company fields for a business customer. They follow the same rules as adding a customer.

SwitchWhat it does
Cash on deliveryShows cash on delivery to this customer at checkout. Turn it off to hide cash on delivery for this customer only. Depends on your plan.
Receive marketing messagesSends this customer offers and marketing updates.

Changes save as soon as you flip a switch.

Turning off Cash on delivery helps with a customer who keeps refusing cash on delivery orders at the door: they can still order from you, but only with your other payment methods.

Add an internal note

Notes are for your team only; customers never see them.

  1. In the Customer notes card, select Edit.

  2. Write the note.

  3. Select Save note.

Ban or unban a customer

Banning stops you from creating orders for the customer or sending them reminders.

  1. Open the More menu (⋮) at the top of the page.

  2. Select Ban and confirm.

A banned customer's page shows This customer is banned. To lift the ban, select Unban the customer in that message, or open the More menu and select Activate.

Banning customers depends on your plan and needs the permission to edit customers.

Delete a customer

Delete at the top of the page removes the customer from your store, the same as Cancel customer from store in the customer list: you can no longer target them with marketing lists or campaigns.

  1. Select Delete at the top of the page.

  2. Confirm. The dashboard returns to the customer list.

To erase a customer and all their data permanently, use Delete customer and data in the customer list.
