Connect a marketplace
Marketplaces Connect is where you activate marketplaces for your store and follow how they perform. Open it from Channels > Marketplaces. Activation starts from the Marketplaces tab, and each marketplace has its own steps.
Marketplaces Connect needs the staff permission to use Marketplaces Connect, and it isn't available for non-profit stores. Activating Mazeed also needs the permission to manage Mazeed.
Get started
If no marketplace is active yet, Channels > Marketplaces opens a welcome page:
One Store. Endless Marketplaces. with the Connect marketplaces button.
Why Connect Marketplaces?: Expand your reach, Simplify operations and Easy activation.
Activate Marketplace: the steps Choose Marketplace, Link Account, Sync Products and Start Selling.
Need help?: Visit Help center opens the support chat, and Customer support opens Zid's help articles on sales channels.
Click Connect marketplaces to open the Marketplaces tab.
Browse the marketplaces
The Marketplaces tab shows a card for each marketplace offered to your store, under Connect Marketplaces. Each card shows the marketplace's name, its type (Global marketplace, Regional marketplace, Retail or Zid marketplace), a description and a status badge:
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | The marketplace is connected. |
| Under review | Your activation request is waiting for approval. |
| Rejected | The activation request was rejected. |
| Blocked | The account is blocked. |
The buttons depend on the card's state:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| More | Opens the marketplace's details, with a Features tab (key features) and an Activation tab (the activation steps, with links). |
| Start activation | Starts a guided activation. |
| Activate instantly | Activates in one step with your Zid details. |
| Manage | Opens Marketplace account settings for that account. |
| Link new account | Connects another Amazon account. Shown on the Amazon card once one account is linked, with the number of linked accounts under its name. |
Cards waiting for approval, rejected or blocked have no buttons, except Mazeed, which offers Apply again after a rejection.
Activate Amazon
On the Marketplaces tab, click Start activation on the Amazon card.
On the Amazon activation page (step 1, Account), choose your country in Select country:.
Under Do you have an existing account in Amazon?, choose:
No, create a new Amazon seller account to register on Amazon first.
Yes, connect my Amazon seller account to link an account you already have.

Sample data from a demo store. Click Create Amazon account. You leave Zid for Amazon, where you register or sign in and approve the connection.
Back in Zid (step 2, Settings), answer How do you want to sync your Marketplace orders?:
Sync all orders: every Amazon order comes into Zid, even when the product isn't in your catalog.
Sync only orders with matching products: only orders for products already in your Zid catalog.
Click Complete Activation.
Read the Amazon Marketplace Acceptable Use Policy and click Agree.
The Marketplaces tab opens with Amazon active. To link another country's account, click Link new account on the Amazon card and repeat the steps.
If the connection fails, the Overview tab shows the reason, for example that the account is already connected to another store, or that you have no seller account in the country you chose.
Amazon's acceptable use policy prohibits brushing, fake orders, fake or incentivized reviews and counterfeit or infringing products. Accounts that break it may be suspended or disconnected and reported to Amazon.
Create an Amazon seller account
If you don't sell on Amazon yet, choose No, create a new Amazon seller account in step 3. Amazon's seller registration opens for the country you chose, such as Amazon Seller Central for Saudi Arabia, the UAE or Egypt. Amazon offers individual and professional seller accounts, and either one can be linked to Zid.
Have these ready before you start:
A valid national ID or passport.
A commercial registration or freelance certificate.
A bank account, and a credit card or a bank statement.
An email address and a mobile number. Amazon verifies both during registration.
In Saudi Arabia, Amazon requires a commercial registration to register and sell. Amazon's screens look like this in Amazon.sa Seller Central, in Arabic:
After you click Create Amazon account, Amazon's Sell on Amazon page opens. Click Sign up.

Create your account: enter your name, email and a password of at least 6 characters, re-enter the password and click Next (التالي). Amazon then verifies your email and mobile number.

The welcome page lists three steps: answer a few quick questions, provide your details and documents, and get verified to start selling. Click Start (ابدأ الاستخدام).

Choose where your business is registered, then your business type: state-owned, publicly listed, privately owned, a charity, or an individual with no registered business. As an individual, enter your first, middle and last name as they appear on your ID, then click Save and continue (حفظ ومتابعة).

Amazon lists what an individual in Saudi Arabia needs: a valid government ID or passport, a mobile phone, and a recent utility bill, bank statement or credit card statement. Tick the box to confirm that your business location and type are correct, since you can't change them later, and click Agree and continue (موافقة ومتابعة).

For a privately owned business, enter the business name exactly as it appears on your registration document.

Amazon then lists what the business needs: a valid government ID or passport, a mobile phone, a commercial registration from the Ministry of Commerce and Investment or a municipal license, and a letter of authorization or power of attorney if you aren't the owner or legal representative. Confirm the location and type, and continue.

Amazon checks your identity document before it approves the account:
Upload a clear color scan of both sides. The document must not be expired.
The full name on the document must match the name on your Amazon account. A company sends the ID of its main contact person or its beneficial owner.
A passport copy must show the holder's signature.
Any document other than a passport must be in a language Amazon supports, such as English, or come with a certified translation into one.
The details you enter, such as the ID number and expiry date, must match the document.
Once Amazon approves your account, create your listings in Amazon, then link them to your Zid products. See Link listings to Zid products.
To offer free shipping on Amazon, set up the rule in your Amazon account so it matches your shipping rules in Zid.
Activate Trendyol
Trendyol runs through Mazeed, so your store needs to meet Mazeed's requirements as well as these:
A commercial registration or freelance certificate.
A warehouse in a city in Saudi Arabia, with a short national address.
On the Marketplaces tab, click the activation button on the Trendyol card.

In the dialog, choose the Warehouse: that receives returns.
Under Shipping Method:, choose:
Trendyol Shipping (marked Lowest cost): ship with Trendyol's carrier contracts. Fees start from 7 riyals per order, and the dialog links to the price list. The fee depends on the carrier and on the package's volumetric weight (desi) or weight, excludes VAT, and applies to deliveries and returns alike.

Shipping options in your Zid store: ship with the carriers active in your store, at their fees.
Click Connect account.

When the activation succeeds, the card shows Active. Once your Trendyol account is live, the dashboard can show Congrats 🎉, Trendyol is now active! with an Add products button that opens the Products tab. Then submit your products as described in Marketplace products.
If the warehouse you chose has no short national address, the dashboard shows Short address needed. Click Add short address to open the inventory location, add it, then try again.
Trendyol gives its customers free shipping, so you pay the shipping cost with either shipping method. Trendyol also shows prices with VAT included, even when your store doesn't charge VAT. Sales on a Trendyol account activated this way are settled with your Mazeed dues.
Trendyol runs through Mazeed: activating it syncs your products through Mazeed, at the same commission rate. If your store has a Trendyol account connected with API keys and they're missing, the Overview tab shows Configure your Trendyol settings. Click Configure to enter them in Marketplace account settings.
Ship Trendyol orders
| Shipping method | How it works |
|---|---|
| Trendyol Shipping | Trendyol's carriers collect each order from your warehouse at Trendyol's contract rates, and the shipping label appears in the order in Zid. Trendyol doesn't store your products. |
| Shipping options in your Zid store | You ship each order yourself: when you move the order to preparing, choose its carrier from the shipping options in your store, as you do for your store's orders. The order's payment method shows as paid by Trendyol. |
Trendyol expects orders to be prepared within two business days.
What to expect on Trendyol
Customers see your store's name as the seller.
Order statuses and stock sync automatically between Trendyol and Zid. Trendyol orders appear in your orders list with Trendyol as their source.
Your discount codes don't apply on Trendyol.
Trendyol's commission is the same rate as your Mazeed commission.
If you connected Trendyol earlier with a seller ID and API keys, you can move to the current connection: deactivate that account in Marketplace account settings, then activate Trendyol again from its card.
Activate Jahez or Mazeed
Jahez: click the activation button on its card to open the Jahez activation page, where you choose your inventories and their schedules. See Sell on Jahez.
Mazeed: click More or the activation button on its card, then the activation button in the dialog that opens. Your products are sent for review, and the Mazeed is connected! dialog confirms it. Until Mazeed is active, its card shows Your first 5 orders are commission-free!. See Sell on Mazeed.
When Mazeed is active and neither Zid Pay nor a bank account is set up, the Marketplaces tab shows Add your bank account, with an Add Bank Account button, because Mazeed pays your settlements to that account.
Follow your marketplace performance
The Overview tab sums up your marketplace business.
Marketplace performance summary shows three figures, each with its change from the previous month:
