Accept Apple Pay in your store
Apple Pay lets customers pay with the cards saved on their Apple device, without typing card details. It comes with Zid Payments: once Zid Payments is active, you turn the Apple Pay networks on in Payments > Manage, and add the fast Apple Pay button and the Safari alert in Settings > General > Checkout page options.
Apple Pay needs an active Zid Payments account, which is available to stores in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Turning networks on or off needs the staff permissions to view Zid Payments and manage its settings. Changing checkout page options needs the permission to manage them, and the fast checkout button and the alert depend on your plan.
Turn on Apple Pay
Activate Zid Payments if it isn't active yet. See Activate Zid Payments.
Go to Payments and select Manage at the top of the page.
On the Networks tab, switch on the Apple Pay networks you want to accept. See Turn the Apple Pay networks on or off.
Optionally, add the fast Apple Pay button to your cart and product pages.
Apple Pay then appears to customers among the payment options at checkout.
What your customers see
At checkout, the customer chooses Apple Pay, confirms the payment on their device and stays on your checkout page the whole time. The Apple Pay logo also appears with your other payment networks in your store's footer, on the shipping and payment options page and in the checkout steps.
Apple Pay works in Safari on Apple devices. If a customer chooses Apple Pay in another browser, you can show them an alert that sends them to Safari. See Send customers on other browsers to Safari.
Turn the Apple Pay networks on or off
Apple Pay comes as separate payment networks, and customers see only the ones that are on.
| Country | Apple Pay networks |
|---|---|
| Saudi Arabia | Apple Pay (Mada) for mada cards and Apple Pay (Visa) for Visa and Mastercard cards. You turn each on or off separately. |
| Kuwait | One Apple Pay network. It is available to companies and establishments only, not to individual accounts. |
Go to Payments and select Manage.
Open the Networks tab.
In All Networks, switch each Apple Pay network on or off.

Each switch saves as soon as you change it. The switches are disabled while your Zid Payments account is suspended, disabled or dormant. Zid Payments settings covers the other tabs.
Add the fast Apple Pay button
Enable fast checkout with Apple Pay adds a one-click Apple Pay button to the cart and product pages, so customers pay without going through the full checkout.
Open Settings from the sidebar, and under General select Checkout page options.
Turn on Enable fast checkout with Apple Pay.
Select Save at the top of the page.
Select How it appears in the store under the option to preview the button on a storefront. When your plan doesn't include the option, its switch is disabled and an upgrade icon next to its name shows the plan that does.
Send customers on other browsers to Safari
Enable Apple Pay alerts in all browsers. shows an alert to customers who choose Apple Pay in a browser other than Safari, telling them to switch to Safari to pay.
In Checkout page options, turn on Enable Apple Pay alerts in all browsers.
Select Save.
Like fast checkout, this option depends on your plan.

Apple Pay fees
Apple Pay has no fee of its own to set up. Each payment carries a Zid Payments fee that depends on your country and your Zid plan, excluding VAT:
| Country | Apple Pay fee |
|---|---|
| Saudi Arabia | According to the card used at checkout: a payment with Apple Pay (Mada) carries your plan's mada fee, and a payment with Apple Pay (Visa) carries your plan's Visa and Mastercard fee. |
| Kuwait | One flat fee for all cards: 2.85% on the Rise plan, 2.75% on the Growth plan and 2.65% on the Professional plan. |
To see the current fees for every network on each plan, select About Zid payments on the Payments page or on the Networks tab, and look under Packages. Higher plans pay lower fees. Each transaction's fee also appears in its details in Transactions.

Limits
Bank discounts don't apply to Apple Pay payments. A customer who pays with Apple Pay doesn't get a bank discount, even with an eligible card.
In Kuwait, Apple Pay is not offered to individual Zid Payments accounts.
The networks and fees on this page are Zid Payments'. If you use another payment gateway instead, see the next section.
Apple Pay with another payment gateway
Zid Payments and another card payment gateway can't run at the same time. Some other gateways also accept Apple Pay: select Browse in Other payment Providers on the Payments page, where each gateway lists its Supported networks, and check for Apple Pay there before you choose one. While another gateway is active, Manage shows that gateway's networks, each with its own switch. See Other payment gateways.
Find Apple Pay payments
In Payments > Transactions, open the filters and pick Apple Pay, Apple Pay (Visa) or Apple Pay (mada) under Payment network. The Network column of each transaction shows which one the customer used. See Payment transactions and refunds.
In Orders, orders paid with Apple Pay through Zid Payments show an Apple icon in the Payment column. See Manage orders.
